It's kind of funny in the video when he mentioned The Maurice Leblanc estate tried to C&D Lupin the Third and successfully got the Lupin The Eighth project shut down, when the author himself got similar legal treatment from Arthur Conan Doyle when Leblanc had Sherlock Holmes appear in an Arsène Lupin novel. (In response Leblanc changed the name of the detective to Herlock Sholmes.)
I guess that's where Maurice's family got the idea huh?

Actually, the whole Lupin controversy is why all Lupin material released in the US until the late 90s/early 2000s had him called stuff like Rupan, Wolf (is that a pun on Lupin/Lupine?), and in the arcade game Cliffhanger, Cliff.

Finders Keepers will be just over 20 minutes. Not much to say with it. Aside from talking about how Byron Taylor had to literally build a house, and the show's move from Philly to LA signaling the evolution of Nickelodeon, there isn't much lore to the show. It's good, but aside from being more remembered in a pretty infamous Double Dare moment, it wouldn't crack the top 50 most important Nick Shows out there. He'll get more mileage out of the next two game shows in Think Fast and Make The Grade because they were part of the big Nick Studios debut and Think Fast being pretty terrible.

Finders Keepers isn't ready yet, but an interesting find on a scrapped Nick game show called Zap Trap. Seems like the earliest prototype for Hidden Temple.

I wonder is the Doctor Snuggles going to be the unofficial Nick Jr. episode?

I wonder is the Doctor Snuggles going to be the unofficial Nick Jr. episode? Everything from Nick Jr. is going to be covered in their own episodes, it's not a case like Nick-At-Nite. But I can imagine a lot of talk about the formation of the block.

But I can imagine a lot of talk about the formation of the block. Well I am referring to like how the Going Great episode was as much about the Viacom buyout as it was about Going Great. I wonder if maybe the Doctor Snuggles will be a similar thing as we hit 1988.

Finders Keepers
Next: Doctor Snuggles (and yes, the first coverage of Nick Jr.)

Finders Keepers Next: Doctor Snuggles (and yes, the first coverage of Nick Jr.) I barely have any memory of Finders Keepers when it was first on the air (I was 3 when the show was yanked; all I remember is one room-to-room romp and the credits). Some of the stuff here was surprising, some of it was a bit... off namely the whole points thing. From my watching of the show on GAS and on various media platforms, it was always set in dollars not points.

So the next episode is going to be part Nick Jr. history, so I am going to get my wish.
And this might be my only chance to say it, but Emily Schulman a very under rated child actress, she was very good. She was on an awful show, so her acting talent might be over looked because of that, than again I also feel Ami Foster was under rated and she was on a good show, so who knows. She was way better than the kid that played Jamie that is for sure.

Watching some of Doctor Snuggles on Youtube. It's like someone turned a drug trip into a kids cartoon and got Prince John from Robin Hood to do voice work (Yes, I know Peter Ustinov was in a whole bunch of other things).

So Grimm Fairy Tales Classic didn't come on Nickelodeon till 1992? Really I got cable in 1989, I remember it being on much earlier before 1992. Am I mis remembering. And how come the English episode dates are as early as 1989, where did the English version air before Nickelodeon?

And how come the English episode dates are as early as 1989, where did the English version air before Nickelodeon? Maybe it was a standalone show then, but I remember Grimm Fairy Tales being a part of Special Delivery, which was so hodgepodge-y that I have little doubt that it aired irregularly before 1992. We're entering my prime years of consuming all things Nick and I have Z-E-R-O memory of Dr. Snuggles. Even as I aged out of Nick Jr. I was generally aware of what was on it. This might be the last show until 1994-95 that I've never seen or heard of.
