It also would much more likely have made money with it's like 100 million budget over the Flash's 200 million + advertising budget.
Especially with all the negative press surrounding Erza.

Flash is going to have an uphill battle between total budget (including marketing and distribution costs) and all the negative buzz around Ezra Miller and the DCEU and WB in general lately.
That's not to say Batgirl would've been profitable, but Flash has a chance to be way more of a financial sinkhole.

Assuming it's true, I can see why WB are so conflicted about what to do.

The thing with test screenings is that they don't really tell you a whole lot as a gauge of how the general audience and fandom will react. Lots of good, even great movies had "eh" test screenings. And a lot of critical and financial bombs have had good test screenings. Like the mediocre test screenings that supposedly sank Batgirl (and used as such by the Snyder Cultists and SQW's invested in that movie's failure) were around the same as other movies that did very well with both audiences and critics on release.
All that said, Flash has a lot of talented people attached to it and I'm guessing it will be a good movie. But I don't know if it will be good enough to overcome Ezra Miller's freefall.

Poor Ben. Every time he thinks he's out they pull him back in.

Welp. I guess time will tell whether we argue about how stupid it was to shoot new scenes for a movie just to never release it or how stupid it was to go full steam ahead with a movie whose star just got done trying to commit all of the crimes, all while years of people's hard work gets obliterated elsewhere.

I have a feeling The Flash will be Warner's Heaven's Gate as it'll have a big hand in Warners going out of Business

I have a feeling The Flash will be Warner's Heaven's Gate as it'll have a big hand in Warners going out of Business I doubt it. As long as Ezra stays out of trouble between now and then and the marketing emphasis is put on Keaton's Batman, this will do decent business.

Wild part is, if he manages to stay out of jail and the grooming reports go just quiet enough, I could see them using the Flash movies BO as an excuse to keep Miller on.

It's gotta make at least 700 million at the box office to be considered a success right?

It's gotta make at least 700 million at the box office to be considered a success right? Assuming it's a $300 million combined production and advertising budget as articles have cited, at least $600 million to break even. Under normal circumstances $700 would turn a small profit and would be considered a massive disappointment, but in the case of this movie even breaking even might be considered a success given the alternative was scrapping the movie completely.
