I know they are their big bankable heroes. But IMO DC needs to get away from Bats , Supes etc being the stop and start of every movie they do....do more siginificantly lower budgeted movies because they keep going back to the same f***ing well and it is just diminishing return after diminishing return. Do a green arrow movie etc. Yea the movies may not make as much money but they should have a significantly less bloated budget (one would hope atleast) so the risk isn't as insane as developing a near 200 mil budget movie and it only grossing 55mil or so opening. I mean Green Arrow wouldn't that be hard if you just take parts of Batman and adapt it into the character like they did in the CW Blue Beetle in theory should be their jumping off point |

It seems to be related to the idiotic, "Superman must be the start of superheroes!" thing DC feels the need to keep trying to do with the actual canon, but in general it feels like they would benefit substantially from choosing a lower tier hero to start with and then branch out from there. While it's true that it's mostly since they didn't have the rights to most of the bigger names it still bares remembering that Iron Man was a relative no-name when the MCU started, and there's a lot more to be gained out of starting with, I dunno, Green Arrow and building up to Superman than in starting with Superman and afterward trying to sell Green Arrow as important. |

To be fair they had an idea for a Green Arrow movie a long ass time ago that was sort of adapted on the show where it was Oliver in a supermax prison and it would basically revolve around him breaking out. |

Which is part of the problem, you have a shit ton of legacy characters you can do stuff with and they haven't I am somewhat surprised they didn't throw a Green Arrow movie out there and just have been the smarky Tony Stark asshole level character |

How did no one.. in this entire enterprise ... stop and say... "Why are we spending TWO HUNDRED AND TWENTY MILLION DOLLARS ON A FLASH MOVIE?" doubley so when they couldn't even get their profit back on a Movie with Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman in it.
it would eb like if Marvel tossed 1 billion dollars at the first Ant-man movie... AFTER the Avengers had already flopped.

The movie I think needs like $450-$500M just to break even. Black Adam had the same budget and only got like $390M which was a failure and Flash is tracking less then that despite better reception |

Jensen Ackles as Batman would be so strange to me because he's pretty much the definitive Red Hood. Too old to play the character in live action granted but the association's still there.

Jensen would make a far better Red Hood...considering ya know he voiced him and people loved it but like said he might be too old to pull off the live version.
I still absoloutley want Scott Adkins as the next Batman...the dude has the acting ability IMO and would easily be the best Batman as far as fight scenes go.

Dude's at his best when he's chewing scenery, and unless he'd be playing All Star Batman, I don't see it. |

Hell make his Batman one that is a bit more jaded and off the rails angry and we would get Avengement(for those that have not seen it it is great) but with him in a Batsuit. |

If they went with an older Batman, Jensen as live action Red Hood would absolutely work, especially since his Soldier Boy felt very Red Hood-y to me(I know he is supposed to be Captain America by way of Winter Soldier, but still, I got more Red Hood energy from Jensen’s acting).

There's some delicious karma in WB banking everything on IRL GTA Character Ezra Miller.
That's all I've got. The DCEU was trash at the start, and outside of one or two gems, was trash all the way through.
As far as the Jensen Ackles as Batman discussion, I say why not. If they cast him, the odds of Batman smiling during the film go up by at least 1%.

Anyone think that Reeves cameo was a little tasteless? Why CGI him when you have archive footage
Also Nick Cage Superman fighting the giant spider was something I was not expecting. In a more grittier Snyderverse movie, he def would been in the movie |
