So... I'm going to ask a question to those that saw the movie. Do they explain how Barry going back in time aged Bruce Wayne like 2 decades? Cause... that makes no sense... especially since Bruce should have already been like 20 at that point... Sounds like they went to the Michael Bay School of Shut Up Nerd. Only nerds care about things like geography and time and logic. (It really would have made more sense for him to be Thomas)
The whole thing sounds like JJ Abrams and Star Trek. When asked how things were different in the Kelvinverse before the time travel occurred he explained the change went backwards in time as well.

Well he did admit he wasn't a Star Trek fan and didn't get it, while he gushed about Star Wars. He even mentioned specifically trying to make Star Trek less Sci-Fi. I'm surprised WB didn't give him a job helming the DC universe considering.
But yeah, all he had to say was it was a reboot rather than a wizard did it.

I'm kind of perfectly okay with just going, "Yeah, whatever," on the specifics on the Star Trek reboot since Star Trek's continuity has always been very yesterday's-story-is-canon-until-tomorrow's-decides-it-isn't anyway.

Also on the we only tell one story front, it's weird that DC desperately want to make their own MCU while insisting to copy stories directly from the comics badly...
When the MCU largely sticks to plot beats obviously inspired by them it rarely just tells the same story.

Even when he lost, he still somehow won too BA 2 still not going to get greenlit tho If anything, seems more like a double KO. EDIT rather than double-post: I also hope Blue Beetle a.) is good, and b.) doesn't get swept into the pre-Gunn failure pile. Nothing about the trailers or anything suggests that it's in any way part of the Snyderverse. I just don't know if the general audience will be aware of this. *shrug*

Yeah, and the thing is they have a lot more material people would know as well so I don't understand why they find it so hard to just adapt Pick a hard sticking point like Infinite Crisis and build to it over 7-10 years in terms of a wider perspective. You could even have Green Lantern have that Winter Soldier All Star type movie with something like Blackest Night down the line A wider DC movie universe should not be that hard to structure. Does DC have their stuff over multiple platforms like Hulk and Spiderman having to be "loaned" to Disney for usage

Even when he lost, he still somehow won too BA 2 still not going to get greenlit tho Sticking birds of prey on there is rather disingenuous too... As is the original Shazam which made more money than Black Adam due to it's smaller budget. Yeah, just posting the total gross revenue doesn't really tell the whole story of how profitable (or not) a movie was.

I'd really love to see a detailed breakdown sometime on why Shazam 2 flopped. It probably mostly boils down to the rebooting thing, but it does feel like there kind of has to be a combination of reasons why it went from a movie that did pretty decently for its budget and was thought extremely highly of to just faceplanting into the dirt to an astronomical degree. It's basically the same set of circumstances Spider-Verse is riding to being a massive hit, though granted while I thought it was okay Fury of the Gods certainly wasn't that good.

DC had it and still has in their head that they HAVE to catch Marvel and catch them now and if they don't then it is a failure and a waste , they are trying to catch something they will never catch outside of Marvel Studios just completely collapsing.
I said it already but DC would largely benefit from just focusing on the characters that are not just Bats , Supes and whatever spun off versions of them they can churn out.
Green Arrow , Black Lightning , Static Shock , Zatanna , Constantine.
Where is my gawd damn Detective Chimp movie!

Honestly there's a very interesting case study to be had in looking at the DCU and seeing just how much a cinematic universe's bad word of mouth can doom movies. There's been a cloud of fiasco and/or likely reboot with so many non Elseworld DC movies in the last two years that its a wonder that something like Aquaman did as well as it did in hindsight.

I really, really think Gunn and DC should just sit on all of their plans for this new slate for a while. Let the dust settle from Blue Beetle and Aquaman 2 and just give everything a rest. Come back to the plans in 18 months' time and see if they still want to go ahead with what they have. I don't think rushing headfirst into Superman Legacy is a good idea at all.
They should also really look at getting some of these movie budgets in hand because hitting $500-600 million at the box office is getting more and more difficult. Some movies are still blitzing through that barrier, but so many are crashing and burning. Don't set up the movies to fail by setting the profit bar too high.

The answer is simple, folks.
Nightwing movies. Ten years of Nightwing. Non-stop Nightwing.

Turns out that the $55.1 million estimate for Flash was underestimating the movie! ... It actually made $55.7 million.
