Can we rip the heart out of 205 Live now? Because Ali is too good to spend his career rotting away there.

He won't be back next week... He got a great reception from the crowd and was allowed to go over 10 minutes with the champion (including promo time). And then this segment with the veterans congratulating him. I think he's going to show up again.

I’m all in on an Ali push. I’ve always been on his bandwagon, but dude looks so legit since he’s grown his hair out more and lost the vest/top.
His twitter promos are also top-tier.
All in.

I WANT Ali to do well, the dude reps Chicago, he's a natural talker, and an amazing athletic talent. He's got ALL the tools. That said, I have no faith in WWE to actually make this mean anything long-term. So.....

Wouldn't be surprised if Bryan wanted to put him over and requested to work with him.
Anyway, they really should just end 205 Live. It's still a good show, I'm sure, but guys like Ali, Buddy, Nese, Gulak, Gallagher and the others are too talented for that.

Certainly not getting on your case in particular, but it's always so strange to me how bigtime wrestling fans, like the sort of geeks that would post here, are all "I hear 205 Live is great, but of course I don't WATCH it!" You know? If it's a good wrestling show, why on earth don't people watch it?

The last time I watched was right when they started taping it before SD and while the matches (especially the main events) are always great, there was nothing there in the way of characters or feuds to make me want to watch. Maybe things have changed since then.

For me, it's a case where 205 Live WAS a good show because it was the one place where anyone had gimmicks... but even then it was completely pointless and disposable in the broader WWE landscape, and it stopped even being good for that much when Triple H took over, reverted everyone's gimmick to, "I wrestle good," and just started putting on aimless matches for the sake of matches.

Yeah, exactly. Last I watched they had Gulak and Gallagher, two really entertaining guys, in some boring ass stable with Brian Kendrick or something. And I think Cedric Alexander, who's so damn good in the ring but completely bland personality wise, still had his massive win streak going.

Maybe a lot of it is Alexander. Dude really could use a gimmick, yeah.

He had that one cool promo after his turn, but they completely stripped away everything that made him entertaining. Same with Gulak when he got all SRS and stopped doing the Power Point stuff.

My man has had a heck of a run considering he was a last minute replacement in the Cruiserweight Classic. From that, to having the match that the Raw After Mania crowd completely ignored, to Mania itself, and now a featured Smackdown spot.
