We had all three commentators enter, Kharma wrestled her only WWE match in it, Road Dogg/Mick Foley/Jim Duggan all returned and Ricardo Rodriguez was in it for some reason. Oh and they let both Colons in but only one Uso in.
The biggest stars in the match were Orton, Jericho, Big Show and Sheamus.

I had to look up the rest of the card. I remember watching it in the days of the Buffalo Wild Wings WWE Blast Zone, but remembered practically nothing about the card.
Now that I've refreshed my memory, I mean, it was fine. A pretty nothing card with an average Rumble. I know a lot of people were upset about Jericho not winning this one, but at the time Sheamus needed the win to push his Bryan feud far more than Jericho did.

I liked Sheamus so him winning was something I had no problem with although Orton really should have won because hometown.

All I remember was Sheamus eliminating Jericho and Sheamus winning. This was a few months after I got back into wrestling after taking some years off. I had a feeling that Sheamus was going to hit a huge roadblock sometime after but I had no idea it would be against Bryan. Not surprised though. Besides that, it was a forgettable Rumble to me.

It was an okay Rumble, nothing special and a bit overly heavy on comedy spots but not really bad and the ending sequence was good. Conceptually the idea of Sheamus winning was much better than Jericho but then they blew that on a story where Bryan spent two months ignoring Sheamus then lost to him in 18 seconds.
Granted not like it'd have been any better if Jericho had won with how shitty the Punk feud and match was. At least both of their rematches at Extreme Rules were great.

Something felt off about the 2012 Rumble. I can’t quite put my finger on it but it really reminded me of the 95 Rumble match which seemingly had a lot of guys who had no chance of winning and only two people who could win it. Kind of like the 2000 Royal Rumble match where it was a bunch of low and mid carders, some upper card guys and The Rock.

In retrospect, 18 Seconds made Bryan a bigger star than ever, even if it was not by design and mainly due to the fans openly rejecting WWE's narrative.

That was a strange Rumble. Kind of showed how much they were struggling with roster depth at the time when you had three commentators, a manager, a female surprise return, three other surprise entries and two people backing up from world title matches, and you STILL had to put in names like Jinder Mahal, Ezekiel Jackson, Alex Riley and David Otunga.

I was just thinking today about how no one really talks about that Sheamus/Bryan 2 out of 3 falls match. Bryan was on fire in that match.

I love that Rumble. It was pure, goofy unadulterated fun with the wacky entries, and a great deal of the match was a blast to watch.
If you can't load the match with star power, at least make it amusing, and they did.

To be fair - Jinder, Zeke, Riley and Otunga were still relevant at the time. The bigger issue is throwing in the Justin Gabriel, the Colons and Jey Uso to make sure you have at least 30 people.

The Colons were the tag champs at the time, so I’d have thought that to be a worthy basis to enter the match on. I do agree on Jey Uso, put in both or neither.

As far as line up, probably the worst ever. At least top 5. Or worst five. However that works.

I think Kane could’ve been in the Rumble, then Cena helps get him eliminated to further his feud.

I was there live and I hated it. It was on my bucket list to go to a Rumble and it wound up being that piece of shit show.

Honestly since The Usos randomly turned face at that point, I would have just had a tag title match between the two teams. We could have cut the Kane vs Cena match from the card and had them had their match at Elimination Chamber (which they still did) by putting both in the Rumble and having them eliminate each other.

it was alright.
I thought it was pretty obvious that Sheamus was winning cause I didn't think there was a chance Jericho was going to beat Punk... and the WWE were going to want to keep the statistic of winning at mania above 50% since they love their numbers.

That was the year Jinder came in at 14, and literally sucked the life out of the crowd. Good times.
