I'm just wondering how bad a promo could possibly be if it has you pointing to Seth's mic skills as superior in comparison. The idea of anyone cutting a worse babyface promo than Seth actually scares me a lot

I'm glad I missed most of Raw because judging some of the responses it sounded like a horrible segment. It's one of the reasons why I said Strowman shouldn't have been put in that position in the first place. Been telling people for years that he's not made for that. I would bring back my thread but nah I’ll let this one lie down

I know for a fact that I wasn't the only one who saw Strowman getting long talk segments during his mega-cartoon period. The thing is back then a lot of the things he did wrong were being hidden by how over and how much he steamrolled everyone else. "It was all good just a week ago"

I’m reading other places here and there, having not seen this yet myself, and I’m seeing things like “up there with the stuff that was ruining Reigns in early 2015”... was it THAT rough?

The thing is back then a lot of the things he did wrong were being hidden by how over and how much he steamrolled everyone else. "It was all good just a week ago" As I said a long time ago it went under the radar that Strowman got over on Roman's heat because the fans hated him so much. Roman getting tossed around by Strowman was good TV because they were giving the fans who wanted to see Roman get punked (which also fits into my narrative of them treating their number 1 guy like a chump)
When Strowman got the OP treatment to the detriment of the roster and all the craziness with the stunts was hiding his faults. I said last year he's over enough to the point people should be getting heat off him, not him still taking heat from others. He's still not there and there is nothing wrong with that but he has to evolve to be a big player. Being destructive is a nice niche and he has great workers to work with but he can still be greater than what he is

The thing is even with people saying that, he's been doing Vince comedy for over a year but people were looking past it

That all happened. It wasn’t necessarily a bad thing, either, because comedy can be a bit of levity to break up the whole “I AM SERIOUS ATHLETE” routine you get from some people which can be dreary and boring at times. Just gotta be careful not to cross that line from “serious wrestler that can do comedic promos” to “comedy wrestler”.

Yeah Braun ain’t the guy and that sucked (note to wwe - if you put the belt on him NOW after ruining him then you guys are idiots and masters at bad timing)
I’ve been watching a lot of 96/97 stone cold which was unparrelled aggression, intensity and realness. This was... yeah. Braun needed to be able to let loose, call Brock a pussy or whatever.
Also Braun, Brock’s beat you like five times

Brock had nothing to react to either. He stood there waiting for Braun to say something bad enough for him to actually decide to go out there. Strowman just says “I’m waitung” so Brock was like “might as well go out lol”

All they had to do....literally....all they had to do was have Braun go to the back and wreck shit looking for Lesnar.
All they had to do (plan B) is have Braun go after Brock when he appeared on the stage.
How f***ing hard is it to book a monster badass?
Have Lesnar scurry away running being completely overwhelmed, Braun gets some of his momentum back, and the fans in the arena are happy. Next week (if he decides he wants to show up) Brock attacks him from behind while Braun is cutting a promo and lays into him because Lesnar was embarrassed the week before. Next week after Braun and Brock do more "RAWR ARE ANGRY!" shit, and boom you have the Rumble match.
Make it No DQ based on the "anarchy" of the weeks leading up to it that way Braun can do his crazy power shit like he did to Lesnar during the Summerslam 4-way, and when he loses he at least went down looking badass.

Braun went from a wrecking machine to a catchphrase machine. Get these hands. Monster among men. Pure WWE style talking where you have to shoehorn phrases into every sentence. The less talking he does the better. How bout you stop talking and go back beating people up.

It can be a "insert the square into the square shape to win a 10000 dollars prize." and WWE would f*** it up

Braun got Ryback’d. He’s never going to recapture his magic. Especially after ANOTHER loss. We can officially have the term of a really over babyface monster have all the luster taken away from him in the most stupid rays be called Ryback'd? Because that works for me.

Braun got Ryback’d. He’s never going to recapture his magic. Especially after ANOTHER loss. That appears to be the case. They didn’t pull the trigger when he was white hot, then turned him heel for no reason killing what was left of his momentum, and now want to present him as he was before and it doesn’t have the same impact.

Meltzer confirmed Braun wasn’t cleared for physical activity. But if that’s the case, why did you book him in a way that made him look like the world’s biggest idiot?

Braun should of just went Cornette and started burying Sable.

Strowman is basically dead in the water and has been since Crown Jewel. The way that was booked killed him badly. It's sort of surreal to have him as the lame duck Rumble challenger. That said, is anyone really buying Rollins as a threat to Lesnar?

Strowman is basically dead in the water and has been since Crown Jewel. The way that was booked killed him badly. Which is weird because, between Corbin waffling him in the back of the head with the belt before the match and kicking out of multiple F5s, it almost looks like they went out of their way to protect Strowman in that match. But then again, it feels nobody buys into the protection methods as meaning anything anymore.
