I don't get the backlash at all. It's not flat-out stating that all men are bad, it's stating that certain toxic behaviors that are tied to men is bad and to change that viewpoint, we need to change ourselves for the better. It's a natural part of growing up, and apparently, a lot of these negative commenters never did grow up.
Also, like so many other controversies, I wonder how many of these complainers are legit pissed off instead of just hopping on the bandwagon in the sad attempt to get attention.

Controversial? You mean “awesome”. I thought it was a really good commercial, too. Definitely an eye opener. I think I'll stick with you, Gillette.

I watched it and if you find it offensive, you're probably a terrible person. Exactly, I can't wrap my head around how people are offended by this. They are literally just saying that bullying and sexual harassment are bad. How is that controversial?!Because some men believe that this is another "this is why men suck" ad. Honestly, I feel like this PSA is needed.

Good message while at the same time I hate when companies put out pandering ads. At least this was more tasteful than pepsi's I don’t know about you but I feel I can solve most of societies problems by using shaving products and drinking Pepsi.

I can't wait to offend those little snowflakes while I get offended by being told not to harass women." I would imagine that would be their thought process.

It's basically saying that men can and should be better than this, not that they need to be removed from society altogether.

Flirting or having fun with your wife or significant other All things shown there portrayed or presented in a negative light with the boys playing being shown as them bloodying one another. I'm not a monster because I have a body part inbetween my legs so excuse me if I don't like being called one.

Marketing is weird. it’s telling me I’ve cyber bullied, sexually assaulted, and looked down on women or associated with men who have. Which I haven’t. So as a consumer, Im like “..wut”.

Look I think we all have a responsibility in not being a d!ck to one another, but its irritating me that there is a narrative that "all men are bad, all women are saints".,

That's not what it said at all. It showed men bullying and harassing a woman. It didn't say all men did that. It did say that we as men have an obligation to check the behavior of others. As the saying goes, "triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.”

Women also have an obligation to check the behavior of other women

Regardless of their gender.

So now we're in whataboutism territory where instead of acknowledging there's a problem we just say "well X does it too therefore nobody is perfect and we should just do nothing"?
The fact that some guys don't feel "obligated" to check other men's actions yet want women to own up for their fellow woman's actions is mind boggling.

The only issue I'm seeing with this is I don't understand what it has to do with razors. I'll never cease to be amazed at how f***ing pathetic and disgusting some people are. For real, calling for a product to be boycotted for coming down on the side of, "Rape is bad," what the hell. It has to do with razors because razors are a product heavily marketed to men. Because as William Regal showed us, REAL men shave!

It's an unfortunate aspect of society that Men are a part of(not ALL men, I don't know why I need to specify that). Gillette is a product for men, so they're talking from that prospective.

Yeah, it’s a weird flex. Marketing wise. Towards men.
