Mick Foley refused to be called Mason the Mutilator. He also refused to work with Marc Mero. Austin refused to be called Chilly McFreeze. Everytime he was pitched something that he didn't liked, he had the shit changed. If you're not gonna stand up for yourself then nobody will. its a different thing, from all reports standing up for yourself can get yourself fired nowdays,or you can even say you dont want, tough luck pal,you do or get fired. You can only stand up for himself if you are a all-time big star Austin and Foley stood up for themselves despite burning their bridge in wcw, the wwe it was their only place to work and they still put their feet down and rejected Vince's bullshit. If you don't stand for yourself they'll do whatever they want with you.

Yeah, that really would have worked. Different place and time and you know it. What worked for guys like Austin and Foley then would get them fired in today's corporate WWE. Vince does what he wants and that's it. We hear it all the time from people in and out of the company, Vince will do what he wants. There is no debate in the creative meetings, the audience feedback means shit, and wrestlers are disposable. This isn't the days of being able to walk away from a six figure WWE deal and into a similar one in WCW then back again. So stand up for yourself, tell Vince his ideas suck and have one you know will get over, because you'll need it when you're on the indies for the first loop.

Well then keep your job and have your drawing power diminish over time, and the lesser star you become the lower your contract will be. It's interesting, you're saying that you need to be a blind sheep but Punk stood up for himself and became a bigger star and earn a lot more money that he was making.

The new day had to purposely act hellish to get over , but that was pretty much then being sneaky about it and fooling Vince. You do need to be able to.show some spine. shield stuck together against awful ideas and it helped then as The Shield. but again they were becoming the biggest 3 stars in the company and it is not like they were refusing gimmicks and full programs Like I believe the Nexus should have spoke up against the Cena finish. But then again it is unproven rookies vs Cena ,the chances of actually working are small, but they should have.

Yea, pretty much and as been stated already this has not hurt Finn and he's made the best of it
He's like Jeff where no matter where he's at on the card he's going to get a reaction and as a wrestler that's all you can ask for because that never eliminates you from anything
He's not going march in Vince office like this is stupid. The Shield/New Day are the last group of current guys that can do that and they had to gang up on Vince to do that. As you can see when all the guys of The Shield are separate they don't have that same audacity to pull those same moves

As I said if you look at The Shield as Singles, they don't have that same audacity to talk to Vince that way because they don't have each other backing

This may go against the spirit of the event but I think Tomohiro Ishii is the best pure worker in the world and has an unbelievable amount of charisma while in the ring but hes missing something big to get him there.
1)being 5'7 and not conventionally attractive 2)Not being a great promo
If he had any of those he would most certainly be an Ace of a company

Drew for me, he's a good wrestler, he looks tough, is handsome, nothing special on the mic but doesn't disgrace himself either but just can't imagine him as a World Champion.

If you watch his documentary, it was clear from people like Michael Hayes or Trips, that Punk was a pain in the ass to deal with since he started on ecw. He ripped apart papers from the smallest writer assistant, to the biggest executive way before he was a star. If the shield didn't stood up for themselves, they would've been jobbed out to Cena. The unproven rookies is not an excuse because the shield were also unproven rookies when they actually showed spine.

The Shield were only able to hustle Vince as a group. As individuals with bigger roles they have not showed that same spine because they don't have the backing of each other
The key thing in all this is support. Finn does not have that support so marching into Vince office to make complaints about a segment would have been bad for him

Punk did this after Heyman left and he was left alone. If you don't look after yourself you will get eaten alive. Ask Ziggler how his career is doing after the success of a failure aired. Ask Owens about how Braun took his soul. I hope that the guys and girls show a spine now that AEW may become an alternative.

Sure he never reached the heights he was expected to but being employed and having consistent TV time for 10 years does no constitute failure
Also KO does what he is asked. We've seen in his documentary he's not afraid to ask Vince for his feedback.

I didn't call Dolph a failure, I mentioned the documentary that Miz aired that basically took Dolph's soul. He had some success despite the last four years or more. Asking for feedback is ok, but refusing to do stuff that buries you, that's better.

Kerry Von Erich
Immensely popular in his prime, looked like a god, good in-ring performer but lacked the "it" to hang with the top dogs.
