Lacey Vs Asuka can join the likes of Ted jr Vs undertaker and Jericho Vs Fandango as the weirdest rumoured wm matches.

Asuka vs. Nikki Bella would be great.

That's f***ing hilarious that they were already planning on giving Lacey Evans a Mania title match. Like, OF COURSE they were.

I get this vibe that WWE prints like the shirts and programs for Wrestlemania early or something and it makes them incredibly gunshy to even remotely change plans. Maybe if they promise someone a big title match/main event program the WWE does not want to go against their word. Not saying that they can't do it but I imagine it's not great for locker room morale.

Listening to Giantbomb's Bombcast live and randomly before a segment on new games Jeff says "Kofi Kingston" and "he's the best" while Jan says "put the title on him." Mind you Jeff is someone who's disliked WWE for a while now who's hyped about AEW but this Kofi thing's grabbing him.
This thing's really got people, I'm glad.

At this juncture I'm guessing what's going to happen is they're going to have Kofi get screwed over at Fastlane, go on with whatever their Mania plan is, crowd will hate it, then they'll give Kofi Money in the Bank. Which is about the lamest possible option but WWE.

I don't know about the turnaround for t-shirts, but they clearly waited a bit to print Mania programs last year. I mean, that's how we ended up with Rusev's disembodied head in the Fatal 4 Way.

This company has no idea what they’re doing.

That's f***ing hilarious that they were already planning on giving Lacey Evans a Mania title match. Like, OF COURSE they were. She hasn't even had a MATCH yet. The Rumble was literally the only time we've sen her in the ring. That would be a terrible terrible match too. Should only last 10 seconds. It really feels like there is just no plan for Smackdown for this Mania. Everything is about Raw. Even the 2 hottest names on Smackdown, Becky and Charlotte, are focused on Ronda and the RAW title. To be this close to Mania and have no plan set for your 2 top titles? Something is wrong there.

Kofimania's trending and I'm seeing other wrestlers besides Woods push this.

The craziest part about WWE's "plans" is just that they clearly don't actually have plans, they have a match in mind and have no idea where to go before then. Sunday saw Lashley turn on Lio then reform that black hole of interest with Drew and Corbin. Next night, Lashley is back with Lio and all the dudes have their own separate matches with no seeming connection or purpose to what went down the night before. I don't even want to dignify these things by calling them "plans"; it's saying you're going on a tropical vacation, doing nothing to actually book that vacation except put in for a couple weeks off at work, not make any steps to get your passport or book a flight or do anything of any sort, then eventually sit at home watching Cougartown and going out to eat at Wendy's.

Kofi is over like gangbusters. The New Days goofiness vs. the super serious Bryan writes itself. Nah. Let’s have another unlikable face like “cool dad” Owens got the shot.
Attractive untalented blonde gets major push over more deserving women. So what else is new?
Taker, Cena, and Batista may or may not be at WrestleMania... Rajah.con

There was a nice backstage segment with Lio and Lashley where they patched things up, but there just wasn't enough time to squeeze it in on TV. Super tight 3 hours you know.

Honestly Seth tweeting that might just be what manages to make this shit happen, given WWE seems to care more about Twitter and Youtube more than pretty much anything else.

Alsop can I just say that like, putting all your eggs in the basket of an unexpected return of someone with an untested character and an alignment they hadn't had previously in your company, and immediately making them your world title plans for your biggest show of the year is just straight-up a bad idea in every way? It's comically terrible. Owens had cooled off so much by the end of his run and we don't know how crowds are going to take his character. Penciling him in for a top spot in a showcase match is at once showing the "I can make them cheer anything" certainty of Vince's booking, and showing Wrestlemania isn't important enough to have any strong guiding stories moving forward. The Lacey Evans thing is all of that combined with the addition of her just being kind of crap. WWE's booking is falling into self-parody and if all of this is true that is such a sharp crash in how much faith there's been in the company doing the right thing over the past 48 hours that it might be a new f***ing record.

It’s just so blatany obvious that Kofi is the best choice. And it’s such an easy story to tell. The crafty, beyond respected veteran finally getting his chance on the big stage. It’s a surefire “Wrestlemania Moment” like they’re always crowing about. This shouldn’t even be a debate.
