The craziest part about WWE's "plans" is just that they clearly don't actually have plans, they have a match in mind and have no idea where to go before then. Sunday saw Lashley turn on Lio then reform that black hole of interest with Drew and Corbin. Next night, Lashley is back with Lio and all the dudes have their own separate matches with no seeming connection or purpose to what went down the night before. I don't even want to dignify these things by calling them "plans"; it's saying you're going on a tropical vacation, doing nothing to actually book that vacation except put in for a couple weeks off at work, not make any steps to get your passport or book a flight or do anything of any sort, then eventually sit at home watching Cougartown and going out to eat at Wendy's. Yeah, last night was proof that they have a destination but have no f***ing clue how they want to get there. It wasn’t even a bad Raw per se, it was really, really weird. It almost felt like they were soft rebooting half the show, but it’s Mania season which is pretty much the absolute wrong time to try that. And honestly, it left me more perplexed then interested to see where it goes. EDIT: Honestly, the more I think about it’s like the entire men’s Raw roster is kinda directionless right now.

I heard Meltzer say that Lacey was getting a mega-push so this Asuka match isn't a surprise. Lacey just sucks. What's crazy is that these days Vince cares more about introducing newer stars and grabbing people off the bench and throw them into WM matches rather than building up those he has now. That's counterproductive. Yeah, but so long as you're tall and blond Vince will push you to the moon. Honestly I suspect calling up Lacey is a big part of why since she came back from injury Alexa's been slowly rotting, no need for her anymore because they found someone taller. As was foretold:

The #KofiMania thing is still blowing up, hopefully keeps going during SmackDown itself so WWE will actually pay some mind to it while they're rounding up hashtags to talk about how awesome they are. I've seen Seth and Rusev push it, anyone else on the roster get in on that thus far?

I would love Owens vs Bryan, but I don’t see them doing that at all. Hell, it’ll probably end up being Cena.

I am surprised how many people are okay with WWE putting the title on Kofi just to take it off of him. If they are gonna do it I would rather they do it right or not at all. Checklist title reigns are no fun and don't really do much for the title. While I'd rather Kofi be given the chance to run with the ball, the important thing to me really is the moment of him winning. And beyond that, not every reign can or should be long. If everyone holds the thing for half the year then holding it for months is meaningless. I just mean specifically the people saying that they would accept him winning the title on a Sunday and losing it on the next Tuesday. I'd rather he not win at all than to go that direction. As a general rule I don't think you should ever put a title on a guy without intending to have an honest go of it. If it loses momentum after a month? So be it, do something else, but Kofi winning, and losing on the next show would really suck. At least if he got the shot and lost, you can still have hope for that cool first run down the stretch. I thought it sucked seeing them do that to Zack Ryder and I'm not even a fan of his.

I remember everyone being upset (myself included) when Christian lost the title after 2 days, but I’m sure Christian was ecstatic that he won the title after 13 years in the company. Nobody can take that moment from him. Hell Zach Ryder was even happy with his IC title win.

Well Kofi is facing Bryan at Fastlane
I'm gonna assume or hope Kofi gets screwed here and it builds for their Mania Match because anything else makes me not wanna see Mania.

Said it in the SDL thread: Kofi wins the title at Fastlane and either defends it in triple threat at WM or more likely loses it on SDL back to Bryan.

Either Kofi wins at Fastlane or they set up him being screwed due to Harper so it sets up a WM match.

My interpretation is Kofi is not in the Mania match but Vince is keeping an open mind on what happens the next 2 weeks so he can just rebook things.

I’m just grateful Bince somewhat listened and gave Kofi a title shot after all these years tbh. Well deserved, and I’m sure the two of them are gonna knock it out of the park.

Don’t see Kofi winning but if he does, that’s fine.

They didn't plan on Bryan main eventing 30 or Becky getting this years prize but crowd reactions pushed their hand. So if you've got tickets for a show between now and mania make those Kofi chants as loud as possible.

So basically, the same thing happened to Kofi that happened to Bryan (imagine if you told someone in 2014 that 5 years later they'd be cheering for Kofi to beat Bryan).

Why can’t Meltzer just admit that he no flipping idea what’s going on?

Why can’t Meltzer just admit that he no flipping idea what’s going on? Well this one thing could happen but it might not but then It might because plans can change but that wasn’t the plan as of this morning but you never know.

I mean it's almost like the WWE knows that the new kayfabe is who's pushed and who's not.

Why can’t Meltzer just admit that he no flipping idea what’s going on? Because Vince doesn't have an idea what is going on?
