Ten grand might not seem much, but it all adds up every stupid decision and mismanagement. How much Pac Man Jones got paid and produced zero dimes? Jenna Morasca and the Jersey Shore rejects? The billboards in CT? Orlando Jordan?

They did, and they wasted it on past their prime guys like you, Booker.

They did, and they wasted it on past their prime guys like you, Booker. Yup, as long as you had that WWE/WCW/ECW stink on you, you'd get a big contract and pushed over originals. Hogan getting all his buddies a big fat payday was the beginning of the end.

this from the guy who if I remember right was pretty shellfish when he was there - he didn't come to help the younger talent or grow the company, he was all about himself - he wouldn't drop the tag belts clean so they wrote him out via injury during a title bout
am I remembering that right?

I love that Booker and Jericho are at Flair’s birthday party arguing about whether TNA had money or not. I like to think of how bored everyone around them was with the conversation. Sting has fallen asleep standing up, Steamboat is trying to flag down the waiter for more appetizers, and Charlotte is in the corner texting Andrade. Also Ric is blading for some reason.

Oh yeah lol even Booker admits that it was a two year vacation.

Hogan getting all his buddies a big fat payday was the beginning of the end. They went from finally turning a profit to bleeding to death in the space of a year thanks to Hogan and Bischoff's influence. It was like watching a company slit it's own throat on live YV... And then Dixie decided to try playing hardball in negotiations after Hogan et al fled with their loot having added nothing of value, and it's all been downhill since then.

I remember that as "had a hissyfit about putting Matt Morgan over clean and was written out via stretcher", but otherwise, yeah, dude was tagged the most selfish man in TNA at one point. Booker is wrong about a lot of things, but he is absolutely correct about this. TNA had so much money while Panda was still backing them, and they frittered it away on billboards in a place they've never ran and hiring people who never should've been hired in the first place.

Yeah, Booker's right. They DID have money. They just consistently pissed it away on the wrong things, lmao.

The only good thing Booker did in TNA was Black Snow.

I'm going to keep saying this whenever it's made obvious. Jericho is a bigger mark than we are.
AEW hasn't done anything yet. You can't be like 'oh well AEW has the money to advertise that TNA doesn't, so TNA failed.' AEW hasn't failed. It hasn't succeeded. It is a twinkle in the eyes of its founders. Wind your f***ing neck in, lads.

We're talking about Flair's forehead here. All he did was cough and blood started pouring down.
