Or just because you stumbled upon it or something?
I love 1980’s/1990’s cartoons, but it looks like some of my favorites will never see the light of day. So rather than dwelling on how I’ll never see the last few episodes of Inhumanoids on DVD I’ll check out Amazon sometimes and add any interesting 1980’s/1990’s cartoon I see to my wishlist. Right now at the top of my wishlist is Pirates of Dark Water.

All the time. Couple seasons of Moonlighting, some Thundercats, Inuyasha Season 1, couple seasons of TMNT 87, The War at Home Season 1, God the Devil and Bob all just off the top of my head were box sets I bought for $3-8 at the local Fields store.
I got Superman TAS Season 2,3, Justice League 1 and 2, Batman Beyond S2, Animaniacs and Freakazoid (can’t remember which seasons) at the same store. That place was a gold mine, it’s closed now
EDIT:Should say, first list are ones I wouldn’t have bought if they weren’t dirt cheap. The second list I had been wanting those for years, and just lucked into them for dirt cheap.

There have been moments when I would just buy something on DVD at a garage sale just because. However, there was only one moment when it involved TV shows. I bought a season of Justice League and a couple of seasons of Batman Beyond (Or was it the other way around? I'll have to look).

I picked up American Gods on VUDU when the season went to like 10 bucks during a sale.
It wasn't that good unfortunately, and I've heard season 2 is worse.

Last year DG dropped the prices on most of their Mill Creek 2 season packs to 3 bucks. Grabbed..

It's been a long time but done it before. Offhand this is how I wound up owning whatever the hell Comic Party is, because in the days before streaming you kind of just took it if you found random anime cheap.

Picked up first 20 episodes of "Ultraman" out of a bargain bin for $5.
Found the first part of the RoboTech (The Macross Saga, the first series that aired on US TV) at a second-hand store for dirt cheap.

I found the complete series of The Oblongs which is rare to find at a store, let alone on Amazon, it's pretty pricey. I found it at a used store for $10. Bet your ass I swooped that up.

I bought the complete series of Automan (all 13 episodes) to get free shipping on my purchase of the complete series of The Middleman (All 12 episodes)
I picked Automan because it was the cheapest.
