From what I have learned from just wrestlers talking their viewpoints about shows , on a long show like WM it is far better to go on first because u get the crowd at their hottest. instead of 12hrs later when they just wanna leave because they are tired , just wanna beat traffic etc. so for Kofi and Bryan it would be far better for them to start the show I tend to agree. Honestly, WM sells itself now so while going on last used to imply being the top draw of the show, that simply isn’t true anymore. The women’s match isn’t any more or less of a draw than Kofi/Bryan. The WWE itself is the draw. A match that goes on last is at a huge disadvantage due to an exhausted crowd, and in the grand scheme of things doesn’t really mean anything anymore. Kofi winning the title in the first match with a red hot crowd might be a better visual.

I think you guys have sold me on the opening match aspect. That does sound aces.

The draw of the women main eventing Mania is because they never have done so. IMO main eventing Mania is not that big of a deal anymore especially with how long the show is BUT with the woman giving something new in that spot, this could possibly help that fatigue at the end
However, as I said throughout this thread I think DB/Kofi should be in the first 2 hours. Kicking off the show would give it a shot in the arm but you also have to make sure you put the matches in good order after that

From my own perspective I always think you should save the biggest moments for the end, but the pacing of WM is just so long that I don't blame people for having the opinion that going first could be better.
Of note with Kofi's rise, and Ali as well: you can tell that Bryan really wants to get a new crop of top babyfaces over, and he's busting his ass to make sure it works; and, of course, to their credit Kofi and Ali are keeping up step for step and playing their roles well. Watching mostly from the outside, I hope they keep the story focused on what Kofi needs to change and, importantly, NOT change about himself to reach the pinnacle, and let that be reflected in the eventual match, whether Kofi ends up winning or not. Giving wrestlers real, believable motivations that fans can easily observe in the ring during matches in the essence of the whole art form, and something WWE all too often ignores, so here's a great chance to do it right.

Kofi is one of the only babyfaces I've got behind in WWE in years, one of the few ever, who seems to just be a decent guy.
I've never once thought of him as a main eventer, and this feud has got him over with me (although I'd been saying for a while I wanted New Day to put one of their members into a singles title division to get them away from the tag titles).
People want to see this, and they're booking it really well. It doesn't really seem like it would be much to ask for, but here we are...

And can we also appreciate that they're not breaking up The New Day for this.
I love that they're sticking to the original idea that the group was formed to make Kofi a world champion, instead of doing some tired jealousy angle or something that they usually do.
The fact you have Woods and E out there bigging up Kofi makes this carry even more weight.
