He just did it for the money, he became Hogan’s bitch the minute he joined wcw, and the less said about his midlife crisis the best.

Still, the DDP feud was some pretty good stuff.

Not his glory days for sure, but still some great stuff.
1. The paranoid member of the alliance between himself, Hogan, Sting and Luger who always accused Luger of being two faced.
2. The rogue member of the nWo who was constantly getting into conflicts with the rest of the group.
3. The night he sat in the ring for the first half hour of Nitro and refused to leave.
4. The DDP feud.
5. Dream matches with Sting, Bret Hart, Luger, Booker T etc that we would never have gotten if he remained semi-retired in WWE.

Even though it did give us his only memorable feud in WCW with DDP, Savage should have never left Sting to join the NWO.

Still, the DDP feud was some pretty good stuff. That feud MADE DDP, and if you listen to DDP and others talk about it you gain an additional respect for Randy because you do NOT get the impression he was merely "doing it for the money."

I hope that my mid life crisis is just as great as savage’s was.

Even though it did give us his only memorable feud in WCW with DDP, Savage should have never left Sting to join the NWO. The storyline was that the only way he could ever come back wrestle for WCW was if Bischoff rehired him and that he would join the nWo, which is why he turned and helped Hogan beat Piper at Superbrawl 7. As Savage was gone for 3 months from October 96-January 97. I liked his nWo run, but aside from that his run was so-so, I hated the roided up look in 99.

I hope that my mid life crisis is just as great as savage’s was. What still decent mobility he had was gone, though. Good look, yeah, but the wrestling (which he'd always been very mindful of) greatly suffered. His fantastic top robe elbow became "guy who could fall off the top rope pretty well trying to flex his arm for an elbow and only sorta make it"

I didn't necessarily mind Savage in the nWo, but the real money for him in that context would have been for an eventual MegaPowers vs. Outsiders split, with the latter pairing realizing Hogan brought Macho Man in to gradually take power away from them, hence the feud.

I am a little disappointed that his lone 2000 appearance was not mentioned.

In hindsight, Starrcade 1995 should have been Savage vs. Hogan, even if it were face vs. face. Randy wins the title at WW3, but Hogan undermined that win by bitching about how Randy's win was tained. But Randy got no payback.

But Randy got no payback. In fairness Hogan did have a gripe as he was not eliminated from the battle royal but they never really followed up on it as Hulk got suspended for attacking the refs.
