Hulk Hogan in wrist bands instead of wrist tape. I couldn't figure out for years why he looked so different in WCW but this was one of the minor changes that looked so weird. He also quit coloring his eyebrows. THIS! I was getting out of watching around the time he slowed down, before I came back in the mid 90s, but they eyebrows really stuck out to me as much as his physique-when did he stop coloring them? 92? 93? |

Controversial honorary mention: Neon Cowboy Randy Savage I preferred the flashy cape robes over his hats and tassles. I'm gonna be honest, I was never the biggest fan of the Macho King/Neon Cowboy looks either. It never really clicked with me as a kid. I just thought he looked like a giant weirdo. And I was a kid who had a sweater phase in the late 80's/90's. The classic look will always be Macho Man to me. |

Found Goldust’s boots in the trash too? Very brief gimmick they gave Hacksaw after the nWo invasion. Instead of being pro-USA, he became pro-WCW and wore their colors for a bit. |

I believe he quit dying them some time in '91 but by '92 they were completely dark. The first time I saw Hogan and thought "wow he looks different" was when he walked through the curtain at WM8. He was still pretty bulky at Rumble '92 but at WM8 I was like "wtf he shriveled up like a raisin".   I think people forget sometimes that Hogan was pretty much already rocking his WCW look in his last year in WWF. Another thing I almost forgot... '92 WWF-WCW Hogan wore his hair longer and it always looked bad to me. Beast-mode '90 Hogan:  Old Man '93 Hogan w/ yellow wrist bands, black brows and long hair:  Finally, another thing I've noticed about WCW Hogan that I don't see talked about is the fact that he just looked like he was going through the motions until BatB '96. Gone was the intensity and passion of the mid 80's and instead we had this struggling actor who no longer had the eye of the tiger. Look at the difference between a Hogan promo in '85-'87 and anything '93-'96 and his energy is just not the same. If we were still getting the same growling Hogan of the mid 80's, I think it might have done a lot to offset the appearance changes. Instead, everything he did between '93 and '96 felt like a nostalgia tour. |

-"Hacksaw" Jim Duggan dressed as a janitor My pick: "Canadian" Jim Duggan with short hair and was clean-shaven. It just did not look right. One for British posters.. he looked like the guy from the comedy duo Hale & Pace .. the one without the moustache (I can’t remember which is which) |

HBK's and Rey Mysterio's pants never set well with me. Road Warriors in orange was pretty cheesy. When did the road warriors wear orange? For the life of me I can’t remember when his happened. |

HBK's and Rey Mysterio's pants never set well with me. Road Warriors in orange was pretty cheesy. When did the road warriors wear orange? For the life of me I can’t remember when his happened. Referring to their first WWF run ... guess it was more of a red orange than orange. |

It bothered me for a while when D’lo stopped wearing the chest protector. I just couldn’t get used to him without it.

I was coming here to say this. The red-and-black paint was just... offputting. I get that they wanted to free him up to be something closer to his fiery babyface roots, but that wasn't it. I felt like the more extreme face art while he was in WCW still actually looked better than the basic Crow makeup he started out with. It was a natural evolution of it. Even when he went with the red facepaint (because they were the red and black), it wasn't a problem with me. The problem became when he returned to TNA, and everyone was expecting Crow Sting, and instead he came out with his makeup looking more of a combination of Surfer Sting and Crow Sting with the red highlights, he had weird lightning patterns sewn into his tights, and he had a coat that looked like a marching band had an industrial accident in a streamer factory. It was off putting to me. |
