I screamed. I cried. I was a kid again, 100% wrapped up in the moment.
This was everything great about professional wrestling. An instant classic and the perfect culmination to an incredible story.

Dude, it's the day after WrestleMania. They've probably already been up for hours getting ready to do the media loop. (It's f***ing trippy that when they interview the WWE world champions on the breakfast TV today, it'll be to Kofi Kingston and Becky Lynch) Well, a guy who is just waking up with visions of his favorites dancing in his head likes to think they get the blessing of rest too. But you are right. They are on impulse power, still buzzed, doing the media before the gym and RAW tonight. God love them. Indeed, they're already on the Road To WrestleMania, 360-something days from now, starting where the old road ended. The race for wrestling's greatest prizes never stops.

Something to be said for offseasons and health insurance, I suppose, but not the thread. This is about Kofi and history. I just feel bad he has to wait 24 hours before SmackDown to really bask again while Becky is up for Raw in 10 hours.

It was everything the main event should have been. That SHOULD have been the main event! Yeah, I will riot if Meltzer doesn’t give it 5 stars. That was just a great performance from both of those guys.

Media is one thing, but he’s not back with the crowd hearing “You deserve it” ringing in his ears, his boys at his side and the weight of a belt on his shoulder. That all comes tomorrow, that’s where you draw from. Today... today is living and reliving, which is great, but different.

Agreed..Truly one of the best wrestlemania moments ever...if not the best. I would bet just about everyone watching got choked up. When done right, wrestling is the best entertainment on earth. It blows my mind thought that if not for Ali getting hurt we wouldn't have gotten this. KO vs Bryan wouldn't have come withing a thousand miles of being this good and special.

Bryan has had one of the best heel runs in terms of ring work that I've ever seen. He's had amazing matches while also working an incredibly safe style. He's one of the smartest workers you'll ever see.

He's one of the smartest workers you'll ever see. I think he also proved these past few months that he is WWE's best overall performer, something that even he doubted after coming back. He is just so good at everything, and him and Kofi had great chemistry together. I always thought that Kofi could have a great main event run with the right person and storyline, but I doubted it would ever come though. I figured he was going to be the Royal Rumble spot guy for the rest of his career. Hopefully he leaves that behind and never looks back, the key now is staying at the he top.

of the three "feel good" title matches this was the one I was most invested in watching it live, with Seth beating Brock it planted some doubts, but glad they went with it I was celebrating happily (while trying to be quiet as it was really late her), you could say the result made me ecstatic or to put it another way it was Jamaican Me Crazy (©️ Mike Adamle)

5 star match, 5 star celebration, crowd was into it, and an actual heartwarming moment in a place where cynicism reigns. What more could anyone ask for?

I remember a year ago Xavies Woods was saying his objective was making Kofi into WWE champion. At the time i was just thinking " Yeh i doubt that will happen Xavier".
But damn ,never gave up.

Honestly, match started slow for me, but damned if it didn't turn into an emotional roller coaster of a match. Gasped at the thought Bryan was gonna win after the knee, that's how into the match I got.
The belt reveal was cool too. Thank you, Daisy.

I could go on forever about this match. Perfect booking.
Kofi kicked out of ONE of Bryan's knees, a move that many people have never kicked out of, and Bryan jobbed to one Trouble in Paradise I believe?
Good number of kick outs without overdoing it, nice psychology, and a Christmas ending with the face everyone loves winning the match he needed to win.
I am cautiously excited to see what Raw and Smackdown have to offer this week.

I just recovered Wrestlemania without spoiling myself the results. After this match, I said "who cares about the rest, let's celebrate and see how everyone else is reacting Man, the match was good, but the atmosphere really sold it. There was this dark cloud all over the arena, the suspect that the WWE might really pull of a betrayal, a tension thick as concrete. But after the count of 3, the reveal of the old belt, the kids celebrating with their daddy and their uncles, and especially when they fade to black to the next segment... boy, that was when I really sighed in relief. Congratulations Kofi, you really freaking deserved it.

Was that also the first time that someone kicked out of the Running Knee Strike immediately after getting pinned?

Props for keeping Vince’s role to a minimum after the tag gauntlet two weeks ago.

It was a great match, but the best moment (apart from the end) was a bit that felt more like a genuine street fight - When Bryan had Kofi in a submission, and Kofi managed to twist around and just haul off a punch into Bryan's face, then another, and another. It looked stiff as hell (though obviously wasn't). That little moment was the highlight for me, to see Kofi being that savage showed just how much it meant to him.
