Beautiful. Match of the night by far and the post-match with everyone crying and Kofi's kids was unbelievably heartwarming. Just a magical moment all around.

Everything was played to perfection, with Kofi showing brilliant babyface fire, and DB killing it as the asshole, taunting heel. Easily the best babyface title victory since Bryan's at Wrestlemania 30, and a clear demonstration of the value in actually building up a hero and delivering at WM.
When good vs evil in wrestling works like it did tonight, there is nothing, (no athletic showcase, no bumpfest, no excess spectacle) that feels better to watch.

‘Beautiful’ is what I thought as well. Not only match of the night but definitely of the year. Brought tears to my eyes.
I honestly never thought it would happen for Kofi until a few months ago. It’s been remarkable.

Credit to both guys for a great match. Kofi is really deserving of a chance, and cool of Bryan to give him that.

I don't know if any match this year can top that. Bryan's an A+++ wrestler and Kofi brought it just as much. Happiest first time face world title win for me since Christian.

Great Match. Bryan was the clear heel who either got a hold or did dickish things. Kofi was the valiant face who fought to stay in the match and take his opportunity. A nearly perfect wrestling match the told a simple story in the ring.

Daniel Bryan has legitimately been involved in the two most emotional WrestleMania matches of over the past decade at least. On the opposite ends of both ends of the alignment.
That is a legend and I'm so glad he was able to return, to help give Kofi this moment

Match of the night and legit one of the best WM matches of all time. Any other year and it would've been the clear cut main event. The way Bryan lost was some awesome heel comeuppance, too.

I want to say something else too. Years ago I watched a Bruno cage match and unlike today where guys fight to escape the cage, back in the day the cage was there to end feuds. The cage wasn't there for someone to escape, it was there so that you can fight your hearts out and the winner then leaves the cage when they've beaten their opponent down enough to where they can't fight back. See Bruno in the match I saw beat Stan Hansen so bad that Bruno saw him just hanging off the ropes not moving, just looking pathetic, and left because he felt he had done enough. He made his point in bloodying his opponent up and the fact he left the cage without Stan attacking him showed that he was that guy. Bruno pitied Stan and said "you lay here in this cage while I go because only one of us can leave this."
Kofi tonight, he stomped on Bryan and showed that babyface fire that many didn't have based off the pure fact that Bryan was insulting him this entire build, tearing him and his brothers down. He did it due to the fact that Bryan was fighting against someone he used to be. Kofi didn't do that because he needed to. He did it to make a point. Afterwards he hit his finisher when he wanted to and won.
It was the same as Bruno in the cage match because the truth is the babyface didn't barely win. The babyface didn't do a random roll-up, they didn't hit a surprise finisher, they didn't all of a sudden go wild for 10 seconds and win. The babyface stayed true to his beliefs, shut down his opponent and Bryan couldn't do a thing but take Kofi's assault and it ended when Kofi wanted it to end. Kofi made a statement, won on his own terms and left on his own terms.
That's a true babyface right there. That's magical.

Match of the night by a god damn country mile. It got me to f***ing cry man. I was fighting it well early on, but seeing Kofi, and especially Xavier, crying got to waterworks to flow freely.
They had the right tempo, the right amount of counters, false finishes, and signature spam, the works.

Look how happy they are, It must mean so much to then. Man I even forgot, MVP and Kofi actually were at WWE at same time one point.

Match of the night. Years ago I remember Xavier saying the goal of The New Day was to make Kofi WWE Champion. To see that goal realized tonight was magical. Also shout out to Byron(and commentary in general), he really showed a potential I never knew he had. His passion throughout this story, but especially tonight, was tremendous. I wrote in the show thread. Wrestling rarely makes me cry, but this did. An actual Wrestlemania Moment and one that was unimaginable just two months ago.

Also, WWE, this is how you create WrestleMania moments. This was one of the most genuine, naturally feeling Mania moments in a long time. Stop trying so damn hard to create these moments, and just let them happen naturally.

Don't usually use star ratings, but this was ***** easily and a difficult MOTYC to beat going forward. New Day and Kofi have been immortalized by this, and it's well deserved for all three.

Literally the only thing I can say negative about the match is I felt the Trouble in Paradise should've been a 'from out of nowhere' strike instead of a 'wait til he gets up' moment. Very minor nitpick, I'm just a sucker for pop finishes.
Much deserved, and looking forward to wherever they go next with it!
