This has been a topic for a while but last night really reached a new level for a lot of people. It was to a point where the matches themselves suffered and rather than having time to discuss like usual we were waiting for it to end. What say you?
Should they make it 2 days? Should they shorten it? What?

Pushing past midnight is unacceptably long.
WWE needs to look at the train schedules and prepare for their audience to exit.
Huge oversight by WWE and an embarrassment for the company to think so little of their fans.

If they want to try to cram everyone on the show make it a 2 day event. Do NXT and the Hall of Fame on Friday or move one to Saturday afternoon if you must. But this 8 hour shows shit is killing the crowds.

I'd rather they shorten it instead of making it a 2 day thing. It was the most feel good WM ever, but 7 and a half hours or however long it was is just too much. It should be 3 and a half hours tops IMO.
Also, HHH needs to quit it with the 25 minute matches. He can't do them anymore.

It shouldn't be longer than 4 hours. If they want to add a 1 hour pre show to that... I guess. But 4 hours for a show like WrestleMania seems about right. Last night was, even as good as I thought the show was, too long.

I honestly believe Mania is headed towards being a two day event. It’s Mania. The tickets will still sell out. They also want to dig into those WrestleCon events and grab that money too. I can’t see a lot of people running against Mania if it’s two days long. WrestleCon type of events would more than likely be dialed back to one day. You probably won’t see as many special guests flown in for them either because they wouldn’t be as profitable either. Eight hours is ridiculous. Give the fans two four hour shows and make double the ticket money. Sounds like a win for both the WWE and the fans.

Before we continue this discussion I have to ask something for the long-time fans who were watching when the amount of WrestleManias was still in single digits:
I heard that those WrestleManias had intermissions. How long were the intermissions? That could be a decider in how to go forward if they want long events in the future.

They should shorten it. The battle royals should go, and the lower card people should just be told 'sorry, but there's no room for you', like used to happen. Nostalgia matches should be limited to about ten minutes, not the 24 that Triple H and Batista went. Filler matches need to go.
Put more matches on at Axxess, if you must. Have some kind of elimination tag event that gets a bunch of people involved. Or have the whole pre-show just be two elimination tag matches, one for the men and one for the women. That gets you ten more of each on the card.
I'd also suggest that, while the WWE has so many titles, maybe Wrestlemania should be a title-match-only show. That already gives you a minimum of nine matches (depending on what happens with the women's titles).

How long were the intermissions? That could be a decider in how to go forward if they want long events in the future. From what I remember they were like 15 minutes or so, they would sometimes have interviews from the winners/losers or just a countdown screen. I wouldn't be upset if it went back to 4-5 hours in total. The main event not finishing up till 12:30a was crazy.

100 percent. I'd be in favor of it going to two days as I'd still want everyone to get a spot. And I fully believe they could come up with enough interesting matches to fill the cards.

4 hours sounds about right. 7+ hours is ridiculous. Everything after the Kofi match is a blur because I was just trying to stay awake at that point.

I'd say a 5 hour show with a 1 hour pre-show at the arena should be enough. If you must have a 2 hour pre-show, have the first hour in a studio like setting talking about the matches. The matches can be second hour of the pre-show.
I'd say bring back the intermission but I don't know if WWE ever wants that back.

A couple of the matches didn't need to happen at Mania, and at least one could be shortened. That was a slog in some spots.
4 hours would be grand, or make it a 2 day event if you want the battle royales and non-title matches in there. I prefer shortening it, though.

They should shorten every damn thing on the main roster.
2 hours for Raw and SD, 3 hours for the B-level PPV's, 4 hours for Rumble, Mania and Summerslam.

Cut the reigns match Cut the rey Joe match Cut one of the tag matches Obviously cut any battle royals Maybe even cut AJ orton Shorten batista hhh The WWEs goal doesn’t seem to be to put on the best show as much as it is to make sure the entire roster is on the show even if their wrestling in matches nobody cares about with results that mean nothing to anybody. I’d love them to make it a weekend event but they probably can’t bang out a major stadium two nights in a row.
