Didnt Lawler and Cole basically bully Matt Striker out of his job?

This is really a good example of just terrible communication on the part of the WWE. I for one really like McAfee's shtick. And far from what users like This Charming Mothman have shouted 6/7 times about how McAfee is an idiot throughout this thread (geez, you don't like him, we get it!), McAfee's got a point. For starters, tuxedo shorts are a thing, Vince confirmed he loved it (albeit too late). Michael Cole, to be fair to the guy, only shouted because he was worried McAfee would lose his job over it. And he apologised to him too. Ultimately, McAfee was right to storm off like he did. Getting told in private to change? Sure. Getting shouted at in front of the McMahons and a bunch of guys McAfee respects for something Cole could have just checked with Vince? No bueno. Just shows a lack of respect. The hypocrisy also of people in this thread saying that Shawn Michaels is allowed to dress like an ageing stripper but McAfee can't wear tuxedo shorts. No. Either there's a dress code for EVERYONE, or nobody. End of story. I love McAfee. I don't get the hate. He is a legit fan. Has promoted wwe,and wrestling in general for years on his podcasts. I find him funny. But I get it's not everyone's thing.

I called him an idiot like twice and both times were directly in response to other points in the thread on the issue of what people were actually responding to, my other posts are roasting Shawn Michaels and talking about my friends cracking jokes about his legs and the camera work during his segments, I'm sorry if repeat activity in threads bothers you that much but conversations are what happens in these.

So reading from beginning to end it ends up being that Cole was worried Pat was gonna lose his job for wearing shorts. Pat described Cole's reaction as outright panic. So my question is... what kinda nonsense has Cole been witness to in regards to Vince to inspire that level of panicing? Funny how this statement is soon followed by the "Vince ready to fire a man over saying his name too much at the Hall of Fame but the the man quit first" thread.

Yeah, not a huge McAfee fan, but I'm on his side here.
Last Sunday, I got bitched at at my job, for...wait for it...wearing my baseball cap backwards.
I work at a baseball stadium, in one room, where the same people see me every game. I've also worked there for four years now.
I said I wear it backwards so I can see better, and people can see my face. She told me it has to face forward or take it off. I said, "Ok, I'll take it off. No problem." This somehow pissed her off even more, and she told me I had to see her and my manager afterwards.
I said, "Ok." But I just finished up and went home. I'm not dealing with some bitch on a power trip over a baseball cap.

It's not a real fight until somebody gets called "toxic" or "garbage", and an old Twitter or Facebook post from ages ago that could be construed to be bigotry in some way gets dug up.

So my question is... what kinda nonsense has Cole been witness to in regards to Vince to inspire that level of panicing? Cole went to bat to get McAfee hired, and is the commentary team lead for the rest of the company. I'm pretty sure having your latest prospect openly defying your requests when you know the owner of the company had just come off the heels of firing/forcibly making a writer quit their job the night before, during their most stressful time of year, is going to cause ANYONE to panic for both himself and his smartass subordinate. Sure, I get people are defending McAfee since he was 'technically correct,' but I'm willing to bet these same people put in the same situation would be freaking out just as much.

That speaks incredibly poorly to how the WWE is run if one of their most established employees can fly into such a panic that he cannot interact with his staff in a professional manner. Even worse, if the point was that Cole wanted to protect McAfee from getting in trouble with McMahon, screaming at him in front of McMahon does not seem to be the most productive way to not draw Vince's attention to McAfee's attire.
