-A billionaire has 50+ year olds main event wrestling shows -A wrestling company is throwing large sums of money at talent that is never on TV -there is a cruiserweight division -They don't properly utilize the cruiserweight division at all -The flagship show is 3 hours on Monday -50+ man battle royals (GRR) -When things are not working, they panic and re-establish their top group (NWO/The Shield)
They literally used to take on air jabs at WCW for most this

I would argue one point. WCW actually utilized their Cruiserweight division quite well. It was one of the most exciting parts of the Monday Night Wars and many of the cruiserweight performers regularly interacted with the rest of the roster and several of them ended up featured performers. In WWE the cruiserweight division is a different stream and like the ghostbusters they're not allowed to cross (though in the last year there have been a few exceptions).

The Guest Host era, where wwe talent was marking out for b-list superstars instead of vice versa.

Speaking as someone that tuned into WCW in 2000 for the trainwreck appeal, I’m low-key loving it.

3 Hour Nitro was miles better than 3 hour Raw has been. They would cram like 10 matches and 5+ interview segments into each one. Sure the show was long but it moved at a pretty rapid pace.

Reign of terror, when they first started booking the company to send a heel home happy rather than the fans, on a regular basis. They decided not to care about crowd reactions and declining ratings, attendances and buyrates, unless they can be used to justify depushing guys who were on the outs, politically.
Ever since then it's been a cycle of WCW 98 to WCW 99 and back, where moments with glimpses of potential are swept away by nonsense.

Those are far from the only similarities.
-paying people to sit at home -re writing shows minutes before going to air. -losing a level of control to networks that are airing -making snack down a show Instead of equal

Russo-era WCW was some of the worst written television I've ever seen, however it was rarely if ever boring. It was more like the most entertaining train wreck you'll ever see in pro wrestling.

Nitro at the end was at least sort of entertaining in a WTF kind of way, Raw is more like Thunder these days, a complete waste of time.

Maybe when Kane and Big Show were on every segment of the show in 2014-2015.

The week after Nitro was gone and there was no incentive to write a show for anyone but Vince.
He’s been entertaining himself for 18 years and it’s time someone make him have to actually work. I hope it’s a truly miserable experience for him alone while everyone around him has a fantastic time.

Probably around the time John Laurinaitis kind of took over JR's job (but not really since Jim was left doing half of it anyway, like payroll and booking live events). Jim Ross may had his flaws, but he was worlds better at running talent relations than the sycophantic Johnny Ace.

This is more like 1999 WCW bad. 2000 WCW bad was a different kind.
