I would love for it to come out he didn’t do it. Just to make all the people that are 100% sure he did look like fools. No one knows the whole story or what exactly happened and likely never will I like that the reason you have for wanting that is so people will look like fools. Not...you know, happy that a man didn’t murder his family. Just that he proved those haters wrong. Most murders happen with no one else around. No one uses this ‘no one will know the full story” excuse for anyone else. The police did a pretty lengthy and thorough investigation.

No one knows the whole story or what exactly happened and likely never will ...really? The need to feel superior is that important to you? It's still a tragedy even in the 0.2% chance he didn't do it.

they subliminally feel guilty they're a fan of a biz that someone could kill their own family in so they create alternative scenarios

I know this is a serious topic and awful, but the thought of dumpy Kevin Sullivan, lurking around an Atlanta house, killing Chris Benoit and his family, framing Chris, then sneaking out of the house, and flying back to Florida, is comical to me.

A lot of the Benoit conspiracy theories reek of people desperately wanting to believe a well respected and fairly loved wrestler they had been watching for years was not capable of murdering his family. Hence you'll have groups crafting all sorts of elaborate plots rather than face the far more likely mundane and ugly reality that a brain damaged man with previously existing disturbing behaviors finally had his bad day and did something horrific. When I first heard that the family had been found dead, my first assumption was that it was a gas leak or something similar. The idea of it being murder didn't even cross my mind. Of course, that was hours before any kinds of evidence or witness reports had been made public.

I fully admit that there are a lot of questions I have surrounding this tragedy. From my own personal perspective it felt too open and shut to me. It's widely known that Benoit was massively paranoid and wrote journal entries about believing people were after him, how he would take different routes to the arena or to home in order not to create a pattern, and the fact that for me there's just a lot of unanswered questions.
Regardless of the theories themselves it's still a horrible tragedy. The fact that his talent and body of work can't be appreciated or inducted into the Hall of Fame is a damn shame.
However, the most plausible theory is the ones presented by Val Venis and Bob Holly. Both of them stated they believe Chris and Nancy were drinking, an argument started and Chris choked her out, most likely he didn't have any intention on killing her, once he realized what happened that's when reality sets in and he begins to sober up to the consequences of his actions. Rather than face what he did he killed Daniel and then himself. Out of all of the theories presented that's the one which makes the most sense to me.

Two things 1: I shared a locker room with Kevin Sullivan, the vets in the locker room tried to get me to ask him if he killed Benoit. f*** no I didn’t ask. He seemed like a nice guy though.
2: if you believe these conspiracy theory’s, get some f***ing help

No one knows the whole story or what exactly happened and likely never will We aren't revelling or enjoying the idea he did it. I'm sure the majority of us would just like to forget those events, save occasionally remembering Nancy and Daniel. The weight of evidence says he did. The alternatives hold no water. If something came up that did and changed things, I would change my view but unless that happens, floating pie in the sky theories with no basis is disrespectful to those closest to the tragedy in my eyes.

I think the paranoia stems from the massive amounts of brain trauma he was suffering from, and would be flabbergasted if there was anything more to it than that.

Dave Taylor apparently being there is weird. Is there any truth to that claim? I read Taylor says he was at a show, but also that other wrestlers said he wans't there?
If Taylor was there, I buy the theory that it was to find out as soon as possible what actually happened and let Vince know rather than it being anything malicious.

I stumbled on the autopsy reports awhile back. When Sandra said he brutalized her sister in TiJ, she wasn't exaggerating.

Regarding his paranoia at being followed and someone being out to get him, I don't believe I've ever seen anyone present a credible reason that Benoit would be targeted. No mob connections, no shady friends he might have done wrong, no obsessive stalker. The closest people have come up with is the ex-husband of his wife, who did a gimmick where he was evil, back in the early 90s. Is it possible that some random psychopath fixated on Benoit and decided to kill him, without ever being noticed by anyone else - neighbours, friends, co-workers - and was so good at covering their tracks that the police could find no trace? I guess it's theoretically possible, but it seems far more likely that a man with mashed potato for a brain imagined he was being targeted by someone because he couldn't think properly any more.

I'm reading this and I'm going ok 21 is total BS. Kevin Sullivan the wrestler has no ties with the WWE boards of directors and he was the one married to Nancy. for #21, i like how in addition to stuff clearly about the "Kevin Sullivan" character, part of the reasoning it was him was they were murdered on the tenth anniversary of Kevin and Nancy's divorce. its not like you could, oh i don't know, google "Kevin Sullivan divorce", then click on the first website that says "Kevin Sullivan Divorce Records..." taking you to list of divorce records for people named Kevin Sullivan, and once there hit Ctrl+F and type in "Nancy", only to find that a Kevin F Sullivan and a Nancy Sullivan of Volusia County, Florida divorced on September 26, 1997 its probably just coincidence that the wrestler Kevin Sullivan's middle name is Francis and he was billed as being from Dayton Beach, Florida which is located in Volusia County, because this Nancy divorced in September and the wrestler Nancy was murdered on her tenth anniversary You may want to re read what I said. I was calling BS on the fact it said Kevin WAS on the WWE BOARD OF DIRECTORS. I said he was married to Nancy, but he wasn't at anytime on the WWE board of directors.

I don't know, a lot of these claims could only be verified if you had the police reports. Were they released to the public?
Some of the points are just Benoit acting not in a logical, comprehensible way, which is to be expected from a man with severe mental issues.
Well, people will be sceptical if a celebrity is murdered and the case is closed quickly. JFK was killed more than 55 years ago and people still come up with new theories about who's guilty. I don't think more investigation is going on in the case of a dead wrestler and his family than in the case of a dead president.

A lot of these questions in the OP have been unanswered. You mean the ones that are total balderdash with no basis in reality? Which ones exactly? Listen, if you are going to come in here with your “facts” and your “evidence” and “not listening to theories that have none of the above and completely get basic facts wrong” then I will not participate in this discussion with you and say good day to you sir I said GOOD DAY SIR!

Honestly a garbage topic at this point. BUT has Sullivan ever responded to this? I’d love to see that. That he understands people grasping at straws to protect the memory of their hero in Benoit. He admits that the news coverage of trying to paint wrestlers as monsters was sickening and they should’ve just focused on the tragedy. He also reached Nancy’s parents and sister to express condolences. This was from his youshoot in 07-08.
