I'd like to see more of Page to get more of a feel for him. At least in regards to what he did at Double or Nothing he was one of the least interesting dudes on the show.

Probably penned to be Jericho with the slight possibility of changing it to Page. But my moneys on Chris. It makes sense.

Thinking about it a bit, I know that a stated goal of the other Elite guys is that they really want to bring Hangman Page up to a higher level than he was, that he is one of the best kept secrets in wrestling in their opinions, etc, so him winning would make sense on that front, but I wonder if it'd still fit their vision if Page comes up short in a hard-fought valiant effort that'll be a prelude for a main event push down the line.
Either way, I imagine both guys are going to have their working boots on to make it a match people will talk about.

I could see them putting it on Chris Jericho, if only to have the rubber match between him and Omega be for the AEW World Heavyweight Championship, but I don't know what it says about the company if their first champion is a former WWE guy so I think based on that alone they'll most likely put it on Hangman Page.
It does seem like they've already booked themselves in somewhat of a corner by having their inaugural championship match between a relatively unknown and someone with mainstream name value.
With that said, if done right, it could launch Page as the face of the company and what AEW stands for by besting a former WWE talent such as Jericho.

I think it'll be Hangman. Jericho is in the match for name value to casuals, but I'm sure their plan is for Page to win over any new viewers by the end of the match. If they want to appear as a true alternative to WWE for both fans and wrestlers, giving a fresh face the inaugural run with the ball is a great start.

Let a newer guy (like Omega) win on TNT, when there will be a bigger audience.

This is just my opinion, but I think it should be Jericho. Page isn't a well enough known name yet to bring in new people. Having Jericho will bring those people in, and show off what Page and any other contenders can do. Not that I think Page is a bad wrestler, far from it. I just don't see him as the face of a new company just starting on TV yet. He will get there though.

Page has everything to prove with this match. Even moreso now that the PAC match got deep-sixed. They have not been subtle about making Page AEWs guy: Age. Looks. Experience. Can go. He absolutely has to step it up to another level in the match though with Jericho. Win or lose. And he’s shown glimpses so..crunch time.

Jericho, by the skin of his teeth and possibly via shenanigans. Why? Well realistically this is Jericho's final chance to have a run, and why not? He's doing some of the best stuff he's done in decades. He looks motivated, he has the most name value (sorry Omega fans) and he knows the business inside out to do some cool stuff with it.
We should be treasuring this, as good as he looks now, we're not going to have Jericho in the ring for much longer so let's enjoy seeing him leave it all out there while we can.

I think it's Jericho because he's the more media friendly option for a first champion.

I hope they go with Page because AEW has a chance to be a star making company. Young Bucks and Omega aside, WWE has been the only star making company stateside for nearly 20 years. There is plenty of good things you can say about NJPW, ROH, and even TNA. But none have had the reach of a WWE or WCW.
Jericho doesn’t need to be made a star. He has been for decades. A title win would instantly make Page the first ever AEW Champion and therefore someone the commentators could hype up in a way that is tangible to the audience. AEW needs stars to succeed and more than that they need homegrown stars to keep from following TNA’s example. This is a perfect chance to launch one.
