Figured out a sweet spot of playing the game for an hour and than giving it a break
Shit never really lets you breath so get an hour in before getting overwhelmed

I'm having a lot more fun with the stealth aspects of the game and just picking people up one by one especially with the bow and arrow

The stealth weapons feel so good in that game.

When you have someone accompany you in the game it feels a lot more "fun"
Sure some of the dread is gone but it is not that it gets easier but just more comforting to know someone has your back

You really fight alongside each other.

You really fight alongside each other. In terms of a sequel it hits and it doesn't hit Spots they could have done better while spots i'm good with. As I said before the game is just "brutal" to play in that it fits in a horror game for that nature but your moments to breath are far and few inbetween I guess it doesn't help as well that Ellie is a diff protagonist than Joel. For those that played TWD TellTale games, her and Clementine kind of fit too well together. Children you wanted to protect to becoming their own person but that innocence is way gone and you kind of hate to see them so ruthless I'm like 60% probably more through the game and I have enjoyed it for what it is. Story in TLOU1 was just better tho. It hit multiple beats while this one has beaten that one drum

Just because you making me play as Abby doesn't mean I will feel sorry for her

Just because you making me play as Abby doesn't mean I will feel sorry for her To be fair, the Abby portion is interesting with some good moments. But yeah, why they thought we would ever care about the person who murdered everyones favorite character is baffling. Personally, it should have been Abby first. Then the Ellie story.

I get what they are going for Joel killed her father because he selfishly wanted Ellie to live. The doctor was just unlucky to get caught in the crossfire. However, Abby tortured and then killed Joel. Anything short of Joel doing the same to her or her father was not going to endear her to anyone In fairness, she's not a bad character. I do like showing her life compared to Ellie but both are one dimensional characters seeking revenge and i'm waiting for neither one to die at the ending. (I somehow have not spoiled the ending for myself in the year this game has been out but I know it pissed people off)

I think if you wanted us to feel some type of sorry for Abby, you should have probably started with her first. Fans def would have been pissed feeling like they got MSG2'd but having us see Ellie kill her friends would been a lot more impactful
Still, her killing Joel was a no-no. She could have caused Joel death but her having Negan him was not going to help her case. Unlike Negan, she doesn't show the charisma (from what I seen so far) to come back from that heinous act and she doesn't have 2-3 seasons to get people to like her as well
It's hard to make her or Ellie redeemable after what they have done and you have an interesting story out there of individuals more broken then those two if they decided to focus on the world

So, I had the ending spoiled right as I was about 80% through the game Can't say i'm surprised considering everything but still I can see why häšhtå.gdālėÿ been pissed with the game Imo they should have gave you two endings. One where you do kill her and one where you don't. I can say with confidence it would been at least 85% with killer Abby You just can't pull out a self discovery arc for a "fake antagonist" when she killed a beloved character I will finish the game tho. But I will also continue to harp on a "both sides" story they tried to tell. That's just hard to do. Yes, Joel killed her dad but I need something more than that. If Joel/Ellie had robbed them and left them for dead amongst their many adventures my tune would change

I can't say I softened on Abby but I appreciate how tough her character is
In an alternate story, she would have made for a good protagonist. Just goes back to what I was harping on before about wanting to make her and Ellie redeemable. They killed a lot of people for the sake of revenge and it tainted them both

A certain scene in this game almost made me stop playing. And by the end of the game I just felt a little frustrated with how things ended. Not sure I'm looking forward to the next installment.
I will say that I liked the flashback to the Science Museum.

I will say that I liked the flashback to the Science Museum. Game needed more science museum type scenes. That was great. Just solid storytelling and character development. And just nice to see.

There is even a note in the hospital saying there is hardly any chance of it succeeding. Also, basic science.

Personally I enjoyed the switch to Abby. It was gutsy to take Joel away like that too. When I saw his scene early on I thought, “This is why the internet is so mad?” As soon as the first game ended I saw Joel as the villain. So it made perfect sense his character had to pay for his past mistakes. Loved it.

Joel doomed humanity at worst and at best massively overrode Ellie's desires

Joel doomed humanity at worst and at best massively overrode Ellie's desires At worst assuming it worked which they had really no idea it would They def should have asked Ellie who would have probably said yes to kill her since she suffers from survivors guilt anyway
