3 of the 4 have great emotional arguments as to why they should win: Overcoming the odds against a horrible disease, reaching the pinnacle in a sport dominated by men forever, inspirational story of an African wrestler breaking the glass ceiling...

How transparent is the voting process for these ESPYs? Because I know WWE polls are accused of being rigged as f*** all the time, but this isn’t being run on their end.

these 3 other people won scripted titles

I'm not at all opposed to the idea of a general wrestling award... but a specifically WWE one makes it pretty inherently meaningless and makes it super obvious someone got paid off to make this happen.
