The “anything can happen” feel is gone.
The shows have become too predictable and formalic. It has nothing to do with the wrestler themselves. It’s whoever is setting up the show.
I remember I’d miss one week and be pissed. Now I can miss an entire year and nothing would really change.

I remember I’d miss one week and be pissed. Now I can miss an entire year and nothing would really change. This is a big part of the problem. Not only are the shows rarely entertaining, they’re completely skippable. I pretty much exclusively watch the PPV’s and rarely do I feel like I missed something by not watching the weekly show. And when something interesting does happen, they post it to YouTube 20 minutes later. There’s really no incentive to watch the weekly shows
