The vindictiveness that Vince McMahon displays is what makes me surprised he hasn't tried to humiliate Renee in order to "stick it" to Jon. What's stopped him is probably that Renee has more power than most of the people in the company in negotiations. She doesn't need WWE, she could just go off to ESPN or Fox. Vince knows that, and there's the issue of Fox. They probably want her to be the one to host the studio show, and you don't want to piss off the people giving you a shitload of money.

Yeah and we're probably going to get more of this. Just goes to show you who Vince is. Not just this but a lot of stuff that we talk about (that's controversial) involves superstars just "doing their job" and at the end of the day it goes back to one man. Like he really thought that 500 dollars thing would affect Moxley and it didn't so now this stuff comes up. Watch someone else use Dirty Deeds and see someone kick out at 1. He thought the guy who made it abundantly clear that money wasn't a motivating factor in his decision making would be affected by a petty $500 payday. I just. The logic. It really exposed Vince and his understanding of the situation. In the end Moxley wanted creative freedom, wanted to not have to fight his way out of horrible comedy material and ass injection segments. He felt like he wasn't going to get that and so no money could make him stay, but Vince only understands money. His mindset was never able to get past that, and so he had to try and hurt the guy on his wallet on the way out. Vince buys people so he can own them, the idea anyone would walk away and not care about the money is, I think, totally beyond him. Throughout history people running to the competition have all done it for more money, fallings out with guys like Warrior and Jarrett were about money, it's something he understands and something he's a shark about. Creative fulfilment I don't think gets through to him, what Vince does on-screen isn't about vision as much as it's about control. It's like explaining your problems to a wall, that shit is never going to land.

Remember that Ambrose promo the week after the shield break up where he says he looks forward to Seth speaking, so he could “hear triple h’s words come out of his mouth”? Well this is literally art imitating life except replace triple h with Vince

“Took his ball and went home?”
He FINISHED his contract. He let them know, in no uncertain terms, that he would not be signing a new deal. And he did everything asked of him while still under contract.
The guy did everything right and nobody at WWE has any kind of reason to fault how he left, whatsoever.
This is the current WWE UC basically saying that if you ever leave WWE for any reason of your choice, you’re “taking your ball and going home”. That’s ridiculous. That’s some “Mr Burns de-motivational plaque” type crap.
How many people has WWE wished well in their future endeavors for whatever reason they wanted? How many people have WWE *refused* to allow to leave? And their mouthpiece is out there talking **** about a guy who did EVERYTHING right on the way out? It’s shameful.

I’m in Japan, where company loyalty (while it isn’t what it used to be) is ingrained in work culture. But even here, the contract thing is used to allow both parties a chance for a no hard-feelings clean break. Sign a new contract, get a bit more. Choose not to, thanks for your time here. It’s been nice. If WWE didn’t want to operate under that system, there’s a very simple thing they could do... MAKE THEIR WRESTLERS EMPLOYEES INSTEAD OF INDEPENDENT CONTRACTORS . But, nah. Having their de facto top guy slag off an independent contractor who fulfilled that contract mere months after he was out the door is a GREAT look.

WWE is just awful and here is why.... *Gets handed official script and a blank check*I see. Understood. Look guys, WWE is great. no, The best. no, It's well, Just perfect. Story time; You see as a social worker in a rundown, underfunded and overrun orphanage for wide-eyed children, I often cry when I have to let the nearly 300 kids we have, Kids who sleep in octuple bunkbeds to save space mind you, That once again lunch will be plain bread and warm day old soup. But one day that all changed when Vince McMahon heard our plight and did what any reasonable man would do; Give money? Ha! even better he put on a show for us in our very own auditorium (For a small but reasonable fee). You may be saying "That can't possibly help" well then how do you explain these updates? Little Becka no longer has liquid bones Jimmy regained his sight even though born blind Nearly 200 kids were adopted that week and now we have chicken nuggets and water with only minor traces of lead I was overwhelmed with joy and thought best to thank a higher power so I said "Thank you, Jesus, for answering my prayers" at that very moment Seth Rollins placed his hand on my shoulder, smiled, and lightly whispered "Think nothing of it pal" As their giant trucks rolled away, I swear, I could almost see an ethereal light shining from the clouds onto their convoy, letting me know that Vince McMahon truly is a saint. {A McMahon Production} {Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}For anyone wondering it's a semi-reference to Mr. Burns movie he made about himself.

I kinda gotta credit Seth in that he knows how to secure a job for life though lol. Dickride every aspect of WWE, potentially destroy friendships etc. You just know if Steph was single he'd be trying to snatch her up.

Yeah, Renee may not be a very good commentator (she still doesn't bother me though), but nobody is even close to being as good as her as a host or interviewer. I like Charly, I like Cathy, but neither are in Renee's league IMO.

Not sure how Seth would feel about that, given his comments about Moxley, but I'm pretty sure that Reigns and the Usos won't take too kindly to that.

ESPN, Fox,... or Turner Sports. This is purely my working theory... I’m thinking she may be too big to go exclusively to AEW at this point (unless she just wants to, for which I couldn’t blame her). But once her WWE contract expires, I could see her working a split deal with both Turner and AEW where she’d be a reporter and/or studio host for Turner’s NBA, NCAA, etc. broadcasts, but also appear as a interviewer/commentator on AEW. It would give TNT a face for regular cross promotion, give AEW some sports cred, and allow Renee to be with her husband while also having some visibility on a platform outside of wrestling.

It really makes you appreciate how well spoken Cena was. Cena would have just been all "yeah, he wanted to move on to other things and that sucks, I think WWE is the best wrestling and the best talent and we're awesome, and I hope he comes back one day." Meanwhile Seth is trying to live the burn it down life, I guess. “I wish them nothing but the best: But my attention is here, at the grandest stage of them all, the WWE. Where we strive to entertain you whether you’re a young or a longtime fan”. You can hear the words pouring out of Cena. The man reeks of a savvy, intelligent, focused, calculated spokesman. He always did. The Benoit ish was trial by fire. And now..well. Here, we are. But I guess, who else is it supposed to be? Roman’s Roman. AJ and DB are over it. It’s just..Seth sucks at it man. He really, really does. Roman wasn't great at it either...

It's cool since Steph is off the market he became THE MAN'S MAN, and by order of pinfall victories at 'Mania Becky Lynch > Ronda Rousey > Stephanie McMahon. Kingslayer and Queenslayer all in one royal family!

This entire industry just needs to die. No one would miss it. ...because someone in a company is sucking up to their boss and defending their company because they want to stay in the good position they’re in? Because there are a lot of industries that’d need to die for that reason. Namely, all of them. Stuff involving healthcare, a lack of a union and the fact the industry has no employees outside of production, social media and management? An argument can be made for that, sure.
