Just "two games" today...
Belarus 0-1 Portugal (quiet game for Cristiano Ronaldo, but Portugal shade the victory in Budapest) France 0-0 Germany (Stalemate in Munich as two of the top three in the world cancel each other out)
Speaking of Munich, Bayern can win their eighth straight Bundesliga title tonight if they win away at Werder Bremen (8:30pm local time).

Premier League is back today with Aston Villa v Sheffield United at 6pm followed by Man City v Arsenal at 8.15. Looking forward to seeing Arsenal play again just wish it wasn’t against Man City!
Bayern Munich also won their 8th consecutive Bundesliga title last night. Competitive league that.

Another game, another VAR weirdness.
Also the first time I've ever seen a keeper get bodied into their net wile holding the ball.

NBC's crowd noise pipe-in was a bit odd in the first half but, it already sounds much better in the second half.
Makes a huge difference, if you ask me. Game feels much more like an unimportant preseason match on the soundless NBC App stream.

napoli beats juventus on penalties to win the copa italia Ronaldo getting roasted online for not stepping up in the shootout. Good, f*** that guy. Also how is David Luiz a premier league player? Dude gives away more penalties then any other two defenders combined.

Dude gives away more penalties then any other two defenders combined. Was Ronaldo supposed to take 5th? Because he’s done this before for Portugal against Spain in a European Championship Semi final and got criticised for that. Luiz was dreadful last night. Was a shame Mari had to come off injured after 20 minutes otherwise Luiz might have never got on the pitch. Arteta was right not to start him but Luiz let him down when he came on. Watching the games yesterday did feel a bit weird but I felt the crowd noise helped. The games weren’t great though. Sheffield United got screwed over and that point also could prove crucial for Villa in the long run who knows.

Sheffield United were robbed. What exactly were the VAR officials doing? If they couldn't see the ball over the line when it was that obvious, then seriously, what's the point in them existing at all?

So rumors seem to indicate AC Milan is giving the keys to the kingdom to Ralf Rangnick. What are the opinions of that? On one I think Rangnick is a good person to help build an actual youth project (something Milan has hyped up for ages but never pulled trigger on) on the other hand going from the Bundesliga to Serie A especially with the abbreviated offseason and transfer market will be a tough transition.
And for those that are not aware of the drama that Milan has endured here is the rundown. Milan was sold to a Chinese Consortium that had no money so the new owners defaulted on their loans so the club is now owned by the hedgefund Elliot Management. Elliot originally brought in Leonardo and Paolo Maldini to run the club with Gennaro Gattuso as coach. The team also brought in Ivan Gazidis to help balance the books and make Milan money. Gazidis and Elliot wanted to go to a youth movement which caused Leonardo and Gattuso to leave. Gattuso wanted 2 or 3 veterans to come in to get Milan into the Champions League while Leonardo wanted a bigger budget (see how he's ran PSG in both his stops there). Maldini was promoted to director and Zvonir Boban was brought in. They hired Marco Giampolo who was a disaster. Boban left due to disagreements with Gazidis and feeling Gazidis was going behind he and Maldini's back. The big contention was the pursuit of Rangnick who the Italian contigent was against.
