I was really hoping they'd just be done with it. I can't see it not being a compromise of whatever Kevin Smith's original vision for it would've been in an attempt to tone down the "controversy", and it's still gonna bring out douchenozzles to bitch about a franchise they haven't cared about in more then thirty years, if they ever did.

I f***ing loved the first season, so this is awesome. When I saw this thread bumped I 100% thought it was to confirm it was officially cancelled.

Thankfully, studios and networks are starting to get hip to these people's acts and are ignoring them. The "Get Woke, Go Broke" crowds are going to shout the loudest, but they're a nonfactor in terms of ratings, box office, etc.

So will Teela still be as likable as MK11 Sindel?

They're not always right, but they're not always wrong either Right or wrong, they're still vocal minority when compared to those who vote with their wallets, while the cottage industry that sprung up around hating "woke" content just makes them all come across as theatrically disingenuous. For all the bellyaching about Star Trek, the franchise is healthier now than it ever has been. The Fandom Menace's constant predictions of Star Wars' imminent demise have been followed by the successes of all the Disney+ shows – particularly satisfying after the spineless attempt to win them over with Rise of Skywalker. The Snyder Cult's attempts to get a boycott of WB's DC output failed pathetically. Evidently, despite the backlash to the first season, more than enough people watched Revelations to get it a second season. I'd rather see studios try to make good content and fail on their own terms than compromise to satisfy a minority who wouldn't give it the time of day to begin with.

I have no dog in this race other than to be happy that Griffin Newman will keep playing Orko which, after watching the Flop House's live episode on the of the Masters of the Universe movie, seems to bring him great joy. (The man has an Orko corner in his apartment). So, possibilities of a renewal sound great.

I'm just in it so {Spoiler}{SPOILER: CLICK TO SHOW} {Spoiler}{SPOILER: CLICK TO SHOW}Hordak doesn't get blue balled again like he was with MYP being cancelled. P.S. I liked Revelation for what it was, while admitting what didn't work.

P.S. I liked Revelation for what it was, while admitting what didn't work. On reflection, the first episode is pretty good (and it can be successfully re-edited to be the finale to the original series), as is episode five, and Orko and Evil-Lyn's relationship is lit, but Teela's obnoxiousness is what kills it for me and a lot of fans, I wish people would get off this kick about the reaction to the show being 'women=cooties' just as much as the grifters should stop reacting like it is, and look at the core flaws, it's about unlikeable or unnecessary characters and bad writing.

New season, time to reflect on what went wrong and what went right and to learn from it.

Now Skeletor can replace the ram head on his staff and put an Emmy on it.
