I’m one of those people who buy a million books and take forever to read them, but I’ve made a vow to do a better job of reading more frequently, so what have been reading recently?
I need some inspiration.

Just finished thee Exorcist, by William Peter Blatty. Really good. Oddly enough, I’ve never seen the movie. Probably will soon.
Just started the Warded Man, by Peter V. Brett. A fantasy novel about a world that’s terrorized by demons at night.

Just finished thee Exorcist, by William Peter Blatty. Really good. Oddly enough, I’ve never seen the movie. Probably will soon. Just started the Warded Man, by Peter V. Brett. A fantasy novel about a world that’s terrorized by demons at night. Might just be me but the Exorcist book is amazing and scary and the film is crap. Book wise I haven't read much this year. Usually I am reading 3 or 4 books at once. Nothing Feels good-Punk Rock,Teenagers and EMo--Got this book a month ago for a quarter at a library book sale. Wish it had covered more of the early emocore scene instead of the watered down crap from the modern era. Just finished the book earlier and it is one I won't read again. American Psycho-Been wanting to re-read this for years. So got a copy for Xmas. Been slowly reading it again. There are parts that could be removed, the long passages about clothing and stuff. And parts that got under my skin. Pimp by Iceberg Slim-Been wanting to read this book for years after hearing Ice T mention it. Then found it this Feburary.Local Walmart had it stocked with their Black History Month books. About halfway thru it and while it is dark and brutal it is a good read. A few years ago my unread book pile was over 300. So my lady challenged me to read 100 books in a year. The plan was if she read more books than me I would pay for our annual vacation. But if I read more books she had to pay. I read 102 books that year to her 98. So she paid for our trip to Memphis that year.

But seriously; Star Wars books Same actually lol. About to reread the Wraith Squadron books for the 20th time. Only new books I read now are the Mercy Thompson books. Consistent quality and scratches my supernatural itch I have.

I’m one of those people who buy a million books and take forever to read them, but I’ve made a vow to do a better job of reading more frequently, so what have been reading recently? I need some inspiration. I've accumulated quite a back log of books to finish, since I keep buying new ones. This year I vowed no more new books until I got through what I've already bought. I only broke that vow like four times! I just finished Expanded Universe by Robert A. Heinlein.

I feel you about trying to read more, last year I read 30 books and this year so far I'm at 12 because of some health stuff going on with my family earlier in the year. It's so bad, heh. And I still keep buying new books, which is not helping anything.
I'm currently reading The One I Left Behind by Jennifer McMahon. It's pretty good.

I found a collection of the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy novels so I'm working my way through that right now. Currently on the second book, but I am loving it. Great fun to read. Admittedly, it's impossible to not imagine or hear the characters from the movie, but I'm not complaining.

I am trying to become more of a reader. Because I write myself, I tell myself to read stuff, whether's articles or novels to get the gist on how I could improve my writing or see what other writers' styles are like, I have been reading more. At the moment, I am reading a romance suspense novel novel called "Tempted into Danger."

The latest Hal Spacejock book.
One of the funniest series I've red. If you like Red Dwarf then you'll enjoy these. I think the first one us free on Amazon too.

I've gotten into a D&D book club, so I'm reading the original Dragonlance Chronicles by Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman.

I want to get more into forgotten Realms lore so I've been reading the Legend of Drizzt books. They aren't bad.

Since the lockdown started, I have been working my way through the stack of book I got at the last few library book sales
All Quiet on the Western Front - a classic
The Red Badge of Courage - also a classic
A Canticle a For Leibowitz - an odd little post-apocalyptic bit of sci-fi.
The Hermes Fall - asteroid vs Earth. Who wins? Whoever doesn't read this terrible book.
