Don't you dare ever think about trying or doing any of the stuff they just did to one another

The moment Omega brought out that dirty glass I threw my hands up. All that other stuff I've seen but when that glass couldn't even be seen through? That was wild.

Hope people are done bitching about Gargano and Cole kicking out of everything at those Takeovers with how this match went.

Hope people are done bitching about Gargano and Cole kicking out of everything at those Takeovers with how this match went. Both things can be true. Both matches had too many false finishes, doesn't invalidate future matches getting the same criticism. I'm sure there will be more AEW matches down the line that go on too long, and they will probably get called out for such like they already have in the past.

By the way I didn't watch, but by reactions and gifs it look f***ing crazy..in a good way. Also for people I'm not shitting on the match or AEW, I just hate hypocrisy.

Matches happen in completely different contexts and circumstances, not to mention different promotions and shows with their own senses of storytelling, flow, psychology, and overall style. It doesn't make people hypocrites if they don't like the overuse of a given spot or stylistic approach in one place but find it works in another.

And (for better or worse)people that enjoy Kenny Omega's Matches know he is gonna kick out of something insane. It is how he built a lot of his most famous matches.

Poor Renee.
As someone who is usually not that into deathmatches, I got into this. I think it helps that this has been built to so much due to the delay, it had a lot to live up to. It succeeded.

It was akin to a masterpiece of Italian Giallo Horror - obscenely brutal yet hauntingly beautiful.

The only thing better than this match will be the coronary Jim Cornette has reviewing it.

Also to add onto this...there was ONE finisher kickout all night (Ambrose's finisher is not the normal DDT, it's the uplifting one he won with) and that was Jericho's kickout.

No, he normally finishes people off in AEW with the regular cradle DDT (Paradigm Shift), the elevated one is his New Japan finisher (the Death Rider)

No, he normally finishes people off in AEW with the regular cradle DDT (Paradigm Shift), the elevated one is his New Japan finisher (the Death Rider) He's won two matches in AEW before tonight, one he used the Paradigm Shift against Spears on TV and the other was basically a hybrid of the two on thumbtacks against Janela. It's still more a fringe finisher than a full throttle one since it was more of a set-up to the Death Rider in New Japan.

There's plenty of precedent that it's in his arsenal.
