Okay, y'know, I'm kinda glad Bix's name came up, because that's someone who has shown an adult can actually grow the hell up. While he never did anything on the level of Cornette that I'm aware of, he was part of an online group that was incredibly toxic. I was surprised as hell when I saw his name start popping up in my peripherals again a few years back, almost couldn't believe it was the same guy. It CAN be done.

I agree, seems like a cool guy, actually ran the check in booth at the "Naito takes Dayton" show. A funny story from that show, they ran out of chairs, so they took some benches out of their vans for people to sit in.

The cosplay isn't the issue. It's that these people are throwing stones in glass houses. A lot in that group have done or have been accused of some horrendous shit themselves.

Just some things that come to mind:

- Joey Ryan's awful "Easter Basket" tweet.
- Sami Callihan has been accused of domestic violence by an ex-wife. 
- Omega employed a pedophile and then made an ass of himself on Twitter. 

And I don't say any of this to excuse Cornette's horrible joke, I say it to show that 3 of those listed aren't stainless themselves. A few of them (DEFINITELY Sami and Janella) use Cornette to help get themselves over and it's just annoying. I think anyone with a brain would see that the best way to deal with Cornette is to ignore his existence and go about your business.  Dressing up as him, bringing out tennis rackets during matches, etc. are sure fire ways to get him to bitch about you on his podcast and that's exactly what they want. They may hate Cornette, but guys like Sami and Janella almost have a weird symbiotic relationship with him at this point. 

tl;dr - Cornette's "joke" was shit, but a lot of these people are equally shit and should shut up and work on bettering themselves instead of trying to get a mention from Cornette.

It's weird to take the Joey Ryan easter basket post, where he made an inappropriate joke on twitter, deleted it and apologized for it, and then say he should "better himself" when he showed the maturity that most vitally Jim Cornette hasn't been showing in this situation by going on big "No I'm justified it's not my fault" rants and being trash. Or to say Kenny, who was asked in an interview about it and gave a calm and composed answer, needs to better himself. Jim Cornette attacking people is the one throwing stones in glass houses and it's weird to try and run with the angle insisting the contrary.Like I can't spak for the Callihan thing, I don't know the story there. But on a broader sense? Trying to bring up dirt on everyone else while they get targeted by the slanderous, hate mob-commanding idiot at the top feels like a deflection at best.

Omega cut ties with that man the moment he was alerted to his past. Ryan's tweet was horrifically tasteless and he did the correct thing in owning up to it and apologizing over it. And there are dozens of other workers that have called out Cornette on his shit.

When Corny actually apologizes for his many, many, many recent "misguided jokes" I'll take these points into consideration. Until that time Corny is still worse than those you've listed because unlike him they never doubled-down and blamed the fans. I believe in personal responsibility and Corny is sorely lacking in that department. His past achievements (great as they were) don't give him a pass to be as racist, sexist, homophobic, ableist, slanderous, exact as he wants to be without consequences.
