Who are some wrestlers that you can think of but when matched up with each other they don't really have any chemistry for one reason or another Two damn good wrestlers but for some reason they just don't click in the ring. They had enough matchups to properly judge it and the best they could do was just merely okay to decent

Rock, Austin, and Undertaker.
Rock & Austin were magic together.
Undertaker and HBK, Edge, Batista, etc. were great.
Rock or Austin vs. Undertaker? Just not good at all. This always boggled my mind.

Austin and Undertaker. Even Austin admitted on the JR podcast that their matches sucked.

Tho in fairness I think it would been better if we had the 2007-2012 Undertaker wrestling those two in his prime like the others got to

Even in his prime, Taker was a brawler first and foremost, same as Austin and to a lesser extent Rock. Too much ying not enough yang like a poster once said regarding guys who were too similar in the ring. Another example of guys who were too alike and whose matches always sucked? Edge against Christian.

Every Charlotte vs. Natalya match has bored the shit out of me, though to be fair I'm talking main roster as I haven't seen any of their NXT matches.

My main answer for this is always AJ Lee and Paige. Both individually very talented and had good matches with other people, but their matches against each other never clicked. They had one good match at Summerslam, but it only lasted like 4 minutes.

Jeff Hardy and Shelton Benjamin always tend to turn their matches into complete botchfests.

Trips and Orton. Cena and Orton.
There's soooooo many examples of both.

Came here to say Styles and Owens. Saw them at a 2CW show (along with @jazzman) right before Owens went to NXT and it was just...boring.

Austin and Jericho are another good example, albeit with fewer matches. And I just mean 1 on 1, no Benoit or anyone involved.

One that jumps out at me is Batista and Booker T. They had so many matches together, and all of them were wildly mediocre. Both guys were capable of much better, but due to mutual dislike or what, they just had no chemistry to speak of together.
I don't know if it was his knee problems at the time, or just a lack of chemistry, but Cody's match with Omega was beneath either guy's standard of the time. That said, I'd like to see them take another crack at it, given they've matured a lot in like 2 years' time, and Cody's knee isn't shot now.

The only match I really liked that Cody had in NJPW was him vs Ibushi Cody and Okada had a "good" match but this was during the streak when Okada was putting out bangers after bangers. Cody has def improved since then and a match where he has some fan support against Omega will help a ton. The match itself will be good but the story will sell it

Someone else mentioned Triple H and Orton, but that is one that springs to my mind.
The only way I could describe it is like they are just stuck in low gear and can not find a way to push each other into high gear. Their matches always feel like something more is going to happen but never does.

If you up the pace Randy will work with you and match you but the same could be said at a slow pace. HHH rarely works fast outside of those Taker Mania matches and when you combine two perfectionist with a methodical pace, no one is going to want to sit for 15 mins waiting for the last 10 mins where the action starts

Kurt angle vs rock vs taker was magic Kurt had chemistry with everyone. Except for Jericho. X-pac could work everyone. But had no chemistry with eddie guerrero.
