Remember when The Mosquitos visited Gilligan's Island?
I sure do.

It’s a movie and not a show, but Vicious Lips from Vicious Lips (1986)

Because the SNL skit with "Howard Shore and his All Bee Band" went over so well, Dan Ackroyd and John Belushi brought them back a few years later as...
...The Blues Brothers

Nick Rivers. Specifically "Skeet Shooting", but I'm sure his other top hits from the summer that involved shooting were all good too.

Since the OP stated "for a show" but then used a movie band, I went ahead and just changed my post from what I had to this:
Sidenote: Clash at Demonhead is more my jam and damned if the version of 'Black Sheep' they perform outdoes the original, Clash is literally just the band 'Metric' with Brie Larson replacing the lead, so I don't think that's entirely fair.

Don't forget their bass player. He looks a lot like Superman and has vegan superpowers.

My little sister used to watch a lot of Disney Channel shows, but from her doing so I got to find out about one show I liked focused around the fictional band, Iron Weasel.
