So it's time for a Chinese heel wrestler to debut saying everyone only hates him because of the coronavirus? "You fear me unjustly and blame me for the cancellation of your Super Bowls! Now I'm gonna cancel your favourite wrestlers and infect the championship scene!"

Will the WWE go to these lengths? I could see WWE imposing rules during Axxess about minimizing physical contact with the wrestlers (no handshakes, frequent use of hand sanitizer, using supplied Sharpies only, etc.)

If COVID-19 doesn't cancel the event outright, but the virus is still a concern, it wouldn't surprise me to see Axxess done away with for the year. It sucks because the Axxess is usually really fun to go to, but it's also the most expendable event of the weekend for public safety concerns.

Unless we have people dying in the streets then they're not canceling Mania

Following the news that two people in the Tampa Bay area were confirmed to be infected with the Coronavirus, WWE issued the following statement to ESPN regarding Wrestlemania 36 plans:
“The health and safety of our fans, performers and employees are our top priorities and we are monitoring the situation closely with our partners and government officials in Tampa Bay.”
“We remain committed to hosting WrestleMania at Raymond James Stadium on Sunday, April 5, and like other entertainment properties in the U.S., there are currently no plans to cancel or postpone our upcoming events.”

Since you want to use insults, please point out where I said there’s confirmed cases in Saudi Arabia. I said there are cases in Iran, which is next to Saudi Arabia. Close enough that it could, or could have already, spread and didn’t get detected yet. What was the insult? Using this situation to make a point about blood money makes zero sense. If they shouldn't have hosted a show in KSA because it's near a country with confirmed cases, they shouldn't hold shows anywhere. And certainly not the US.

If they shouldn't have hosted a show in KSA because it's near a country with confirmed cases, they shouldn't hold shows anywhere. And certainly not the US. “This is some feat of mental gymnastics” was the clear as day insult, and them possibly cancelling the biggest show of the year in the US is what the topic is about, which I believe, makes my point of it being a risk holding a show overseas during this pandemic, relevant. It’s been in the news that various music artists and such are cancelling overseas shows because of this, which again, I feel makes my point relevant. My other point about the “blood money” is that the money didn’t stop them from taking the risk of bringing the roster and production crew overseas, when other entities of entertainment wouldn’t take the risk, and they’re clearly not willing to make the same risk for Mania (which I think is a good thing, health comes first). Now, I’m done repeating the same thing for a now third time, if you don’t understand my point, leave it as just differing opinions, please don’t use a bad insult on me again just because you disagree, and then act like it wasn’t a bad insult.

'Overseas' isn't a place. Coronavirus is a worldwide outbreak which has affected a variety of countries to different degrees. Hosting a show 'overseas' isn't inherently less safe than hosting one in the US, particularly if that country has been less affected than the US.

Not only does too much of it weaken your immune system, it also dries out your hands causing them to crack making it easier to catch things.

Miami mandated that Ultra Music Festival was cancelled and the city of Austin just cancelled SXSW. I know we wouldn't want this to happen, but there's a VERY real chance that Mania gets cancelled in the next two or three weeks or moved to a smaller arena.

Yeah with SXSW being canceled we'll see how they react. That's a big big one.

This is really precarious because, if this thing takes hold enough to cancel WrestleMania, then surely they’d have to stop running TV as well. Wrestling will just STOP for who knows how long. Not just WWE, but AEW, ROH, Impact, countless indies... All stopped.

Unless we have people dying in the streets then they're not canceling Mania Yeah, Vince doesn't care if people die. The show must go on! I hope it gets canceled, moved to a smaller arena, the crowd makes it an awesome show, and they start taking Mania to other areas instead of Florida, NY/NJ, Cali, Dallas, and New Orleans over and over.

So, the first instance of WWE changing plans because of coronavirus occurred today. The Bella Twins will not be appearing for their scheduled VIP meet and greets. Given that both are pregnant, they would be at higher risk for the disease.

Unless we have people dying in the streets then they're not canceling Mania I saw a tweet from someone earlier that basically said, “If a performer can literally die in the ring on live TV and the show keeps going, then Vince isn’t cancelling WrestleMania over the super-flu.”

He may care if attendance is like, a third of what was anticipated and they’ve got to try and cover for a mostly empty space. Mostly I feel bad for the indie companies and wrestlers who are about to feel the pain much more intensely that weekend.

Raw is in Pittsburgh on March 16th (3:16), and I saw on my local Pittsburgh news last night that they promoted Stone Cold being there. Apparently it will be Austin's first time in the 'Burgh in seventeen years. It was a weird thing to see on the news. One thing to see it hyped on WWE shows, but maybe ticket sales were way low due to fears of huge crowds and the coronavirus.
