To those thinking it's being blow out of proportion: I hope you never interact with people with immunity deficiencies for a living. It is some of the most selfish thinking anyone could have against a legitimate mutation of the flu that can and will do more damage before it's done.
As someone who has had to deal with the very real situation of having a 7-month-old who can't even get flu shots yet, living three blocks away from a hospital that has confirmed cases in California, it's not me that I'm afraid of getting sick.

If it helps you any, I think babies are included with children in that they're more resilient to this virus than even healthy adults. While children and babies can certainly be infected by COVID-19 and spread the infection, they don't display anything but minimal symptoms, if they're visibly sick at all.
Not that anyone wants to see their kids get sick, especially that young, nor do you want them to be the exception to the statistics. But I hope that information gives you some peace of mind that your infant is not uniquely in danger from the disease.

People have sympathy for the elderly and the immune compromised. I think it's important to keep people informed while not causing hysteria. Hence why a lot of individuals are having issues with the media coverage of sickness. But what can you do? I just hope that at some point its contained and eradicated. Believe that's what everyone is hoping for at this stage of the game.

The thing with this virus is to take it seriously, but don't panic. The overwhelming majority of healthy, non-elderly adults who get the virus won't have serious complications and at worst will feel like a bad cold or the flu for about a week. Kids will also be fine (if anything, they'll be better off than adults, which is unusual for these types of epidemics). But be considerate towards the elderly or those with chronic health issues or compromised immune systems as they'll be at significantly higher risk for serious or fatal complications. The most dangerous thing about this virus isn't its strength, but how easily it can spread. Yes, inciting riots and people getting paranoid about toilet paper and water bottles is a big overreaction, but brushing it off as nothing is a huge disservice to people around you who aren't as fortunate with their health.
An event like Wrestlemania could be a recipe for disaster if even one person that has the virus attends. A big football stadium's worth of attendance where you're around people for several hours on end. Potentially tens of thousands of people could get infected who in turn go back to their homes and could infect that many more people. The only thing that might help is that the stadium is open air and not domed.Â
This would be logistically impossible. It's not like the flu where they can stick a swab up your nose and see if you've got it. As of now there's no quick testing process for COVID-19.
Thereâs still thousands upon thousands of people gathering for all manner of sporting events, right this instant. Is it 65,000 in one place? No, but itâs far more people than in various places around the country. Obviously you donât want people sick and dying if you can prevent it but this virus isnât even close to touching fatality rates of just the seasonal flu that happen each year that we just accept as life. The hysteria over this virus really needs to calm down. What's your angle, chief? Why post about something you're so obviously not equipped to understand?

*glances at the heavy immune suppressor he takes to avoid dying from tumors*
Now I know how the old grandma feels when people say "Meh only the elderly can die from this who cares"

All signs point to Coachella being postponed until October. I feel like the closer we get to Mania, the more eyes will be on it. I feel like they need to take action.

If they have to do the empty arena WM, couldnt they just have employees, road agents, and heck, even wrestlers fill the seats? It wouldnt fill the arena (heck, there's probably more seats there than WWE employees), but it would at least give the impression of a normal show. At least Roman and Goldberg wont have to worry about getting booed out of the arena. It wouldnât. Without the big crowd, pyro, etc. itâd seem like a ridiculously depressing reminder of what weâre living through right now. It wouldnât sell, Iâd guess the performers would hate working it, and it would forever be âthat wrestlemaniaâ. Cancel it or delay it several months.

WWE has the ability to run cool things in Wrestlemania's place in a studio. Multi-day tournaments, special attraction matches, really letting the performers off the leash. What they'll instead do is have a bunch of shows with useless filler matches (Ziggler vs Kofi tier) and re-runs of classic matches from the fault to remind you what a fallen world you live in.

We're getting closer to Mania in an empty arena.
Granted it's not the United States, but Ireland canceled their St Patty's Day parades. And in the US, events all over the country are being canceled.
And it's looking like Coachella is going to be postponed to October.

Mania's such a weak card this year honestly it's not even a huge loss. No one wants to see half the matches on the card. It would suck for the wrestlers who have been thrown to the booking wolves to get this card but the huge mass gathering of Mania at this current time doesn't seem ideal. I don't know if they can even delay it at this point, so an Empty Arena Mania might be the solution other than cancelling it.
If this continues and gets worse in the weeks to come with other sporting events, and word events in general being delayed or cancelled, WWE's gonna feel intense PR pressure.

If this continues and gets worse in the weeks to come with other sporting events, and word events in general being delayed or cancelled, WWE's gonna feel intense PR pressure. MLB, MLS, NBA, and NHL have all banned press from the locker rooms due to the Coronavirus. They're also wanting an 8 foot buffer between the players and reporters. MLB has told teams and players, to have signed balls in the clubhouse to hand out to fans, and not to take pens, balls, or any other items from fans. We could see empty stadium games in MLB. There's mounting pressure on WWE to announce, especially with Coachella and Stagecoach in all likelihood being postponed. The word around Twitter from actual sources is that while it hasn't been officially announced, Coachella will move to October.

Itâs not going to be contained in the US within the next few weeks, the crowd size, international fan base and contact between wrestlers and fans means Iâll be shocked if it goes ahead. Even closed doors doesnât work as if one wrestler gets it then so do the entire roster.
Theyâre probably working out a plan B right now, maybe make summerslam a two day event to recoup their losses and get everyone on the card plus honoring tickets/tv promises ect?

Yeah, Iâm at the point where, as much as it would suck for the other companies involved during WM season, if WWE doesnât arrange to at least move WrestleMania to another part of the year, theyâll be considered highly irresponsible in letting it still happen.
Thereâs absolutely no good reason it should still go ahead if the risk is there.
