Having audience doesnt matter. The fans are very far away from any of the wrestlers. At some point with these wrestlers traveling so much. Well having some positive test were going to happen.
But again this is why you test and film two shows in two days. Then have everyone go home for two weeks. Out of all the wrestlers who were at those tapings. It looks like very small amount of positive tests. Again this just shows that what AEW is working and stopping them from having 30 to 40 person outbreak like WWE had with no testing. Like NXT had recently some positive are going to happen from time to time. You just gotta contain it with your talent.

Especially because AEW's taped shows have been fantastically paced and well done lately.

I'm gonna say it again, and keep saying it till the pandemic's over, both companies should do a marathon taping to fill 2 months worth of shows. Once those shows are almost completely aired, call the talent back to do another marathon taping. Less travel means less chances to catch it. This would also allow people to quarantine.
Granted that doesn't apply to Archer, who got it from a family member getting a ride from a friend to the vet. There's nothing malicious there.

Don't know how to post an Instagram post, but Brian Cage said he took the week off to get stem cell injections for nagging injuries... Glad to hear he wasn't one of the cases..

AEW has been fine up until this point though, and as far as we knew until news came out of more cases it was just Archer that had it, if this is just an isolated incident this should be fine

Oh man, that sucks. That might put an end to using indie talent and allowing guys to work indie shows. It can't be contained with too many variables.

Damnit Jacksonville.
So he got it after the tapings? I guess at Warriors Wrestling?

Oh good, so within ten minutes they know. Doing it at home is how Ben Carter must have found out. On the one hand, people will ignore that their testing is finding it before they get in contact, on the other hand, it's good they are able to keep their workers safe.

The tests are not 100% accurate. It’s silly to think that all of these wrestlers happened to get it within the past two weeks at home. Probably someone had a false negative and spread it at the last taping. Or they broke “the bubble” and caught it while at the tapings after being tested.

Yeah I think people are overestimating the accuracy of these tests. “Oh well he got tested at the show and it was fine. No problem.”
Those things have like a 60% failure rate depending on which tests they’re using. A lot of stuff could be in play here.

Indie people are actually lucky if they work AEW, since they have their resources to test. All these indie shows happening now, they can't afford to test beyond a heat check, and no one has health insurance, so many won't check unless it's free. The indies running now are just not equipped to handle an outbreak. AEW can tell people to stay home, but these indies can't.

Ok, so no outbreak in 7 months, suddenly all these indies open up, a bunch of indies guys get it, and you want to blame inaccurate testing at AEW. That's illogical and borders on trolling. Even Ben Carter said he caught it afterwards. I think I'd listen to the wrestler and NFL doctors before scientific doubters on the internet.

It still isn't known if you can test negative and still be incubating the virus. Also as others have said these rapid tests are the most inaccurate tests and not really indicative of a robust testing system.

Not sure how my post is any way trolling. The fact is that the tests are to a certain degree inaccurate which means it’s entirely possible a wrestler had it and spread it at the tapings. Having so few have it the prior 6 months and now a bunch of wrestlers have it all at once makes me think the most likely scenario is that it was spread unknowingly at the last set of tapings.

Having so few have it the prior 6 months and now a bunch of wrestlers have it all at once makes me think the most likely scenario is that it was spread unknowingly at the last set of tapings. And not the fact that all these indies opened? Again, indies opening up and accurate AEW testing is how this "spread". Saying that it's a bad test is just speculation, and because of a sample size of 7 months, I would say your hypothesis is not based in reality. It spread because all these guys are working indies with no testing, and they're all working the same indies. Then they got AEW home tests, before coming in, and found out they had it. So the AEW home testing helped stop them spreading it further. To turn around and say "well tests dont always work and it spread at the tapings", with 7 months of that NOT happening, is just really insulting to people who are trying to contain versus indies who are expecting the wrestlers to do their own thing.
