I'm beyond the "It was out of their hands!" way of thinking. Every major sports league instantly shut down operations. They postponed the Olympics. One man's ego is putting his workforce at risk so he can be the only "big event" that took place during this crisis. Vince can afford to pay their downsides and let them stay home. They can show "Best Of" shows during their timeslots. There is no excuse to be running this show. I feel for the men and women that have had to put themselves at risk for the past few weeks but Vince himself deserves every disparaging reaction and negative consequence that results from this. AEW are still running too, so f*** Tony Khan too right? AEW should really be taking a break for the time being as well, but that really has nothing to do with anything.

I get that it's largely out of WWE's control - though they could have saved themselves a LOT of headaches by taping Mania two weeks ago like any logical person would have in this situation - but man this show is looking like a legendary disaster at this point. Weird day-of sub-ins with zero build, matches that had no real build anyway just kind of there for some reason, the two day thing, no crowd, random ass made-up gimmick matches, this just looks like a straight up all time terrible PPV. Yeh ,the logical choice wws always postpone until you can. It will take a year? well next year it is.Now you have an awful card with no production and no showsmanship But with x amount of people still subscribing to the WWE Network rather than cancelling, plus happ(ier) broadcasters with original content. Showmanship and production don't come into it. Every single major sport is going to be playing games behind closed doors in the next 6 months, sitting around and waiting for things to go back to normal isn't an option.

It's very likely Network subscriptions are down anyway. It might hurt the bleeding, but WWE only expected to gain 60,000 new subscribers for Mania this year anyway per their last conference call, and with people out of work a lot of them are likely looking to trim costs where they can and the WWE Network would probably be one of the first things to go for a good chunk of them.

Was listening to something from Meltzer and Alvarez earlier and they rightfully pointed out that if anything Roman should be out of wrestling for a long time to come, not just until things return to some form of normalcy, given he'll still be extremely high risk until there's a vaccine. Hopefully he and anyone else with a compromised immune system like Bryan keeps that in mind. What’s Bryan’s issue?

It's part of why he became vegan, to try to help it because he kept getting sick.

Garza's replacement is horrible. I think pretty much anybody on the main roster would be a better choice. There are a lot of people on the main roster that busted their butt for the past year that deserve that spot more. Garza's replacement has the size, the youth, the physique, and the all-American good looks that WWE is looking for in their next top guy. And just enough experience on the indies to not receive the same flack that Roman got. I think we're going to see a lot more of him in the coming year.

I'm burned out on wrestling as a whole so I really don't care for the 'war'. I just see a lot of 'f*** Vince/WWE' sentiment and nothing aimed at other places that are still running.

So yeah, people are going to talk about WWE here. Your post's literally trying to bait a WWE vs AEW debate. "BUT AEW'S DOING IT TOO" has nothing to do with WWE.

That said, I honestly think both companies should hunker down and go on hiatus for at least a couple of months.

Feels like a lot of pro-AEW bias around these boards. That's just how I see things.

Guys, don't go into AEW vs WWE. The whole f***ing reason I said anything was to avoid that shit.

I’ll say this once;
If you have a problem with AEW doing shows, or any promotion for that matter, we have two perfectly good boards for this discussion.
Drop it.

Go elsewhere for that garbage.
