Characters that are created to be the foil to the main star can sometimes be more interesting and fun to watch.
I watch Matilda to see Ms Trunchbull. You can just tell the actor is having a blast with the role.

Hans Landa is the best part of Inglorious Basterds by a wide margin.

The only incentive I have to ever re-watch Black Panther is Jordan as Killmonger.
Coincidentally Scar is also one of my favorite villains, but I wouldn’t necessarily say I watch Lion King simply or mainly for him.

Kind of cheating since I love it as a play as well, but Othello with Kenneth Branagh as Iago rules so much. He puts on such a performance as such a terrible but captivating human being.

The Dark Knight.
The Dark Knight Rises, for far different much more hilarious reasons.

Rutger Hauer in most of anything. Blade Runner, Sin City, Nighthawks, Kingdom Hearts (I’m in it for Sora, but yes I count that)...

O'Brien from 1984. Richard Burton's performance is amazingly captivating, as this tender supportive villain that will "make your brain perfect, before we blow it out."

Alan Rickman has an innate skill at playing villains much more fun than the heroes; with the Sheriff of Nottingham coming to mind especially. Also this man greatly elevates Last Action Hero:

Hans Landa is the best part of Inglorious Basterds by a wide margin. The fact that he made you think, "Damn, that is one charming nazi." is a real testament to his acting. Dude absolutely deserved those two Oscars. Playing a nazi and a man helping slaves. Two polar opposite roles.

No Old Country for Old Men. Anton Chigurh. If you disagree, don't let him hear you say it, or else.
