The Silver Surfer cartoon rarely ever gets mentioned. I mean it's not great but it does feature a lot of rarely seen characters in the marvel universe for the first time. Also had a "Thanos wins" ending well before Infinity War. And it was never resolved (unless you read the unmade season two scripts)

Spider-Man Unlimited
it’s not as good as TAS or Spectacular, but it’s miles ahead of Ultimate Spider-Man and the 2017 cartoons.

There has perpetually been murmurs of someone wanting to reboot Silverhawks, that has never actually been followed through.
Speaking of another 80's animated show that I'm shocked never got a reboot, particularly in live action format now that computer graphics are affordable enough to attempt it, is Robotech. Pacific Rim demonstrated that people will watch live action mecha programs willingly enough, but I'd wager that all of the legal issues that Harmony Gold has had (some of their own creation, mind you) probably would make that impossible.
What legal issues, you might ask? Specifically, they licensed 3 Japanese animes for the explicit purposes of making Robotech. What they did not do (which the makers of Voltron apparently did do) was license the intellectual properties of those animes for all purposes. When they did not, the makers of those animes licensed their intellectual properties to other American companies for other purposes outside of making television programs. The two most notable ones were licensing the design of their mecha toys to Hasbro for use in their Transformers line and the use of their mecha designs and artwork to FASA for use in their tabletop strategy mecha game, Battletech (originally known as Battledroids before Lucasfilm smacked that name down).
Because Robotech was a hit, Harmony Gold wanted to make a toy line (as well as their own tabletop strategy game) related to the show and found that these other companies owned those rights. Harmony Gold felt that those rights were implicit in their licensing deal and went lawsuit crazy. Hasbro had already sold all the Jetfire toys they were going to sell anyways so they simply peaced out, but the Battletech brand fought them tooth and nail for two decades before Harmony Gold finally exhausted all of the legal options. By arguing that they already owned all of the rights to the intellectual properties instead of simply applying to expand their rights through new licensing deals Harmony Gold probably missed out on the option to make a rebooted series.
Sorry to go off-topic sort of (though I suppose mecha pilots could qualify as being on topic).

The success of Reboot paved the way for many CGI based cartoons. I remembered Fox Kids & KidsWB had Action Man & Max Steel on opposing blocks which seemed surreal as both were airing around the same timeframe (then again the same could be said trading blows between Digimon & Pokemon).

What a fun show. I watched the first 3 or so episodes when they aired. Heard it was gonna be canceled and didn't bother watching the rest. Skip ahead a few years and I got season 1 on DVD for 5 bucks. And discovered the rest of the season was really good. Chilkis had some bad luck with tv shows after The Sheild ended. It felt like every new tv season he had another show that would last 1 season and get canned.

Phantom 2040 was a great show and a look at the bleak future we're probably heading toward. It hardly ever gets mentioned as it's non Marvel, Image or DC, outside of videogame reviewers talking about how the 16 bit game was a hidden gem. I would set my VCR to record it every Sunday. It aired at 6am and by this time I was sleeping in every Sunday. Wish the entire series would get a dvd/blu ray release in Region 1. I got the one DVD that came out but it is just the first 3 or 4 episodes.

There was a Savage Dragon cartoon on USA Network around the same time as WildCATs. Oddly, almost nothing of it exists of it online Erik Larson hated that cartoon and regretted ever licensing it. Parents who’s kids watched it would but the comics for their kids, oblivious that the comic was a far cry from kid friendly.

(And had to look up his name just now) I might have just had it as a random action figure that looked cool on the shelf.

Thanos paraphrases the Raccoons opening narration at one point ("Quiet...peaceful...serene...") How about Hero High, which can be seen as an early My Hero Academia...just more American and more '80s SatAM...

How about an animated show from the 80s about a superhero Teddy Bear from Wales! The Spotty Man was voiced by Doctor Who actor John Pertwee The villains was a cowboy named Tex and his minions a fat stupid man named Bulk and a Skeleton called umm Skeleton I remember the road safety advert as well. "NOT BEHIND A BUS, SPOTTY!" Also, the bit on Earth is actually a part of Cardiff.
