So what are the odds for a massive upset by Hiromu tomorrow?

Considering they've really invested in Sanada, I could see him going over Okada in the finals. But I also wouldn't put it past them to do the Okada/Naito rematch since it's a safe big show match, and you have the added story of both guys not being 100% back when they wrestled at WK. Gun to my head, it's Sanada winning, but I won't be surprised either way... unless the finals is a weird Takahasi/Evil match up. That'd be... something, I guess. They generally don't "waste" Okada vs Naito tho. They don't even meet in the G1. It is basically WK or nothing and since they just did WK, I don't think they will re up on it again It is a safe bet sure but those two still got money in a singles match with fans at some point. Pretty sure that’s cause they were saving it for WK. now that’s done, it can be their next Tanahashi/Okada type matchup.

I don't remember the last time a 3-count broke my heart as bad as that 3-count on TAICHI did.
Once you are fishing from your sensei's sensei moveset, you should be given the automatic win and the fans should lay on the ground and bask in your brilliance. That goes double if you pull out Jumbo Tsuruta's moves.
Doing that with the crowd would have earned him so much damn heat, even if Jumbo is an All Japan guy.
Maybe next time, TAICHI uses from his sensei's sensei's sensei and pulls something from Baba.
Also, I now want TAICHI to have a kohai just for the LOLs. YOH would be perfect.

I want to be mad at you for saying this, but unfortunately you're right. There's history between YOH and Naito, and a good deal of Taichi's act is "F*** LIJ, and F*** LIJ Fans even more!" So yeah, taking YOH on as his protege would be a solid troll.

Yoh is super talented (for what it's worth--and it's not worth much-- I think he's top 5 in NJPW for me) and if there is anyone who can replicate Naito's path of being unappreciated and suddenly a star it's him. Sadly I think NJPW will focus on Sho but if Yoh joins a group like LIJ (the best scenario is Sanada leaving and Yoh taking his place) he can elevate his status and be a major player going forward.

Just a reminder that tomorrow's show is free to watch. Even if you're not a member you can still watch the semi finals Figured I’d quote this in case some people skip straight to the last page. Show is starting shortly. Would be nice to get some more people chatting throughout the show. I’ll even provide a link for the lazy: njpwworld.com/lp/l_live_217_8

4 match card. The tags should be entertaining, and the semi finals should both be bangers.

Fun opener. Gabriel Kidd showed a lot of fire. Golden Aces vs Dangerous Tekkers should be an awesome match.

I really hope they give SHO and Shingo some time to tear the house down. Could be a show stealer.

Don’t know how I feel about the name Master Wato, but I thought he showed promise as a Young Lion. Did anybody keep up with Kawato when he was in Mexico??
Suppose it makes sense Douki would attack him what with the Mexico connection. Plus, he always loses, so it’ll be a free win for Wato

I like Kawato and his wonky eye a lot, but this gimmick is actual wrestlecrap.

Check out his match against Audaz for the Lightweight Championship

In a post match interview yesterday, Taichi and Kanemaru got into it and argued over his loss
