It's crazy, I looked it up, and the This Is Your Life segment is only the 5th highest rated segment in WWE history. The craziest thing about that list is something the Deadlock podcast boys talked about last month, the third highest rated segment of all time was The Mean Street Posse vs The Stooges. The Mean Street Posse makes everything better. Just proves my theory that Pete Gas = Ratings

Actually that 3 on 2 handicap match between The Posse and Kai En Tai where all 3 debut "high impact finishers" and TAKA still gets the win was really funny at the time.

I don't believe it. The WWE have actually put that match up on their official YouTube channel.

Vince McMahon single handedly defeated the monstrous empire of WCW.
In reality, their budgets were pretty similar, WWE just spent more money on production. Also, WCW was killed by Turner. Eric went from producing 2 hours of a TV in a week (when they were #1) to 5 hours inside a year.

I think some of the stuff here is not necessarily the Mandela Effect but rather what narrative the WWE as pushed

I feel like there are a lot of people here who don't quite get what the Mandela Effect is. It's not something WWE overstated the importance of or a false claim they make. It's something that you remember happening once way, only to find that it never actually happened.
A good example would be Hell in "A" Cell being called Hell in "the" Cell, which it never was.

Goldberg's kick ended Bret's career
Bret actually had few matches after Starrcade including an unnecessary hardcore brawl against Funk where he took some nasty shots to his head

This isn't related to WWE, but I thought for years that Dusty Rhodes left commentary for good after joining the NWO in early-1998 and believed that the authors of The Death of WCW just messed up when they claimed that he returned as the color man for WCW Saturday Night in the summer of 1999. It turns out he did, and I just completely forgot.

I brought it up in other threads, but some people seem to collectively misremember what Vince said after he revealed himself to be the Higher Power. Many think he said, "IT WAS ME, AUSTIN!" He actually said, "IT'S ME, AUSTIN!" He never strung together the words, "It was me, Austin." I believe he did say, "It was me all along", but he never said, "It was me, Austin!"

"It's me, Austin!" is what I remember Vince saying right after revealing himself as the Higher Power, too. I think the rest of the promo went like this from my memory: "You all bought it! You all bought it, hook, line, and sinker! You all bought it! Even my family.....even my immediate family bought it! Every damn one of you were made fools of!" Vince sure loves repeating himself.

JR saying ‘we’re live, pal’ when Sid asks to restart his promo. I see this a lot. It was actually ‘it’s live, pal.’

The Higher Power revealed himself to Austin and Austin alone before this. Either Vince is a master of disguise, Austin is an idiot or they had no ending for this angle.

Austin tipped off Linda during the week, and they basically undid Vince's power in the same show as the higher power reveal.

From reading a thread on the wrest of wrestling forum I think a lot of us remember watching the entire event of the Yokozuna Bodyslamming challenge in 1993 when it wasn't released in its entirety until a couple years go. I feel like I even remember watching the thing with my family or something.

Sorry for bumping this thread but I just remembered one.
I could of sworn one of the stips for winning the Million Dollar Tough Enough from 2004 was getting the #30 spot in 2005 Royal Rumble. Of course the winner Daniel Puder came out rather early in the Rumble and we know what happens next.
So I can’t remember if I falsely remember hearing that stipulation, or WWE did announce it and changed their minds after the backstage heat Puder “caused”,

Beyond the usual "superkick through the window" non-occurrence, there's another detail about the Michaels/Jannetty angle people often get wrong. The usual recap of the angle seems to go like this: Michaels superkicks Jannetty and throws him through the window, Heenan calls Jannetty a coward trying to escape and Monsoon, as per usual, replies "Will you stop?!" Only Monsoon didn't use that line; he instead replied to Heenan with "Are you blind?!" I see the incorrect exchange happen all the time on Reddit, which means either Reddit is experiencing a collective Mandela Effect when it comes to that angle, or they've never actually seen it.

For me, I always thought Tugboat turned heel and became Typhoon after turning on Hogan, where in reality he turned on the Bushwhackers during a 6-man tag. To be fair, the *entire* promo afterwards is Tugboat specifically talking about Hogan, including walking off screen then back on screen with a rotary phone screaming how Hogan never called him. So, he is technically turning on Hogan, even if Hogan wasn't in that match.

For the longest time I thought Jake Roberts and Rick Rude had a Mania match.
Even now, knowing it's not true, when I think of the feud or Rude/Jake's matches and Mania tenure, I have to hesitate to remember they didn't culminate at Mania.
