I swear I remember Hulk Hogan body slam among the nearly 2 ton Andre the Giant that did such unrepairable damage to the Silverdome it had to be torn down the next day.
I also remember Andre dying soon after. But apparently none of this ever happened

For the longest time I thought Jake Roberts and Rick Rude had a Mania match. Even now, knowing it's not true, when I think of the feud or Rude/Jake's matches and Mania tenure, I have to hesitate to remember they didn't culminate at Mania. they had a match at Wrestlemania 4 --- which was terrible en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WrestleMania_IV#Results

The story most wrestlers tell is that The Sandman wasn't meant to be in the ring until the end of the Vinces illegitimate son reveal and they had to scramble to find a way to get him out of the ring. While that may have been the case everyone forgets that JBL was also in the ring too.

It’s boring AF. It goes the full 15 minute time limit.

If they were trying to have the most boring matches ever, they sure knocked it out of the park.

A current ongoing on seems to be WWE wanting everyone to think they're this sweet, innocent Mom and Pop company just trying to make people happy while this Big Meanie Retribution is trying to ruin everything.

That's not Mandela Effect. That's simply WWE's current televised narrative, where they're never gonna mention all the... *gestures wildly* ...everything the company IRL does that is so completely shady. Trust me, as long as there's people like you, it will NEVER be a Mandela Effect.

Sorry for bumping this thread but I just remembered one. I could of sworn one of the stips for winning the Million Dollar Tough Enough from 2004 was getting the #30 spot in 2005 Royal Rumble. Of course the winner Daniel Puder came out rather early in the Rumble and we know what happens next. So I can’t remember if I falsely remember hearing that stipulation, or WWE did announce it and changed their minds after the backstage heat Puder “caused”, The commentators do say Puder won his spot in the Rumble by winning Tough Enough, but I'm not sure if it was meant to be #30. That would be weird though because they usually save that #30 slot for a bigger name. Speaking of Tough Enough, WWE definitely tried to Mandela the runners up of season 2. Linda Miles and Jackie Gayda of course won that season to the shock of the 2 guys remaining. They went on Confidental a few weeks later and said that the show contracts made it clear that there would be a male and a female winner and Al Show and John Gaburick basically told them they were wrong and that Tough Enough was always about finding the best regardless of gender even though the promos for the show always hyped up there being a male and female winner. So Snow and Gaburick tried to Mandela Effect them live on air. One for me that I can't prove one way or the other is actually my first ever memory of wrestling. I can still see it so clearly in my head. Ultimate Warrior is wrestling someone, possibly Ted DiBiase, but I'm not sure. Warrior gets out of the ring and then crawls under the ring. A moment later, DiBiase and the referee are now shaking in the ring as if the Warrior is physically shaking the ring. I have never found any video footage of this and I have no way of proving this actually happened, but I am so positive it did!!! I have the most vivid memory of watching this as a young child and being in awe of this incredible physical display!!

This reminds me of how great the announcing used to be in years past. Could you imagine the Mitchell Cole types coming up with this dialogue about an angle?

The current commentators would be doing their best Owen voices, somberly recapping the event as we see five consecutive replays of it (one of them in slow motion), before noting that Jannetty has been taken to a local medical facility.

In reality, Jannetty tried to escape like a coward was thrown through the window. How did this thread even continue past this opening win?

I know Kenny King still wrestles, but what happened to Jake? I'm guessing he went back to being a fireman full-time.

WWF beating WCW causing the latter to fold. In reality, WCW beat itself more than anything. If not for new executives who despised wrestling also being in charge of its purse strings and some course correction in creative, WCW could've survived. Heck, it was starting to slightly rebound on the creative side of things in 2001 before AOL-Time Warner sold WCW to McMahon.

Gayda could train nonstop for three years and it would still be too soon for her to be called up

Looks like he works in real restate in Bakersfield and seems to be fairly successful at it. Good for him.
