This is a long read and it's not pretty folks. This could end the company once and for all if it gains traction.
CHIKARA Pro via a currently anonymous trainees has been exposed for its disturbing culture of grooming talent, manipulating them into sticking with their training courses and more money, and also being subjected to sexual advances by male roster members and being coerced into it being fine and "Just say no, boys will be boys".
First story accuses Quackenbush and several trainees of racist, homophobic, and just awful conduct towards trainees as a whole, including a very poinent one about an Autistic Trainee who was bullied. Quack is also accused of emotional manipulation and having sex with a trainee who may have been emotionally compromised at the time from another relationship:
This following story is from a woman who was apparently in the CHIKARA system for years, undergoing this mental manipulation and abuse, throwing thousands of dollars into a wrestling system that seemed to have no interest in her despite saying she was "So great and would make it in no time" or "She was a part of the culture and family there and others wouldn't get you" when even the thought of going to another school was brought up. A ton of emotional manipulation, and also possibly sexual assault by one of the trainers but the trainee was blackout drunk and isn't sure.
Not sure about when this took place, or who was involved, but we all know "Person in Charge" is Quack and "Trainer" could only be a handful of people. This is a very bad look for CHIKARA Pro as a whole, especially after the Kobald news.

And there goes my least shred of childhood innocence.
Seriously this is like finding out Santa was your drunk uncle for me.
I'm heartbroken. Chikara along with Kaiju Big Battel got me into pro wrestling.

Yeah... honestly I know there is a huge CHIKARA fanbase here, and I was a fan of their shows too, but I was waiting for something like this to come out. Maybe not to this level but there are just too many stories out there about how the students of CHIKARA act, about how many people got screwed over by Quack.
Like I said in another thread, there will be some big ones that shake Indy wrestling.

There had been rumblings for years The cracks can't be sealed forever. I mean, I genuinely never thought that CHIKARA was going to be a place caught up in this whole maelstrom. So this comes across as a major shock to me.

There had been rumblings for years The cracks can't be sealed forever. Like, I've heard so many stories throughout the years it was a blur to keep track of them all. I knew once everybody started talking about others, I had a feeling Quack was going to be thrown out sooner or later.

There's a good amount of people that have surprised me in the last few days with their alleged actions. Quack is not one of them.

The Chikara stuff is not all that surprising but I feel dumb for not noticing that it was all a money making scam. Especially lately with them completely giving up being any form of being a big time indie and just being their own little world.

Wasn't there some sort of affair between Quakenbush and one of his trainees years ago? If so, I can't really call this super surprising since that issue was right there out in the open.

Quack might not surprise me But whoever the alleged Trainers might be might, depending on who they are and when this happened, because CHIKARA has had quite a laundry list of Trainers in their factory revolve in and out over the last decade...

There was an alleged affair between Quackenbush and Saturyne that was never confirmed but given how this week has gone... who the hell knows. She soon left CHIKARA after that rumor gained traction and became Hania on the Indies. I don't know if she even still wrestles though

Didn't know if it had been confirmed or not before.

So this comes across as a major shock to me. There were just too many rumors out there to not see something come out. The Saturne stories for one. There's also the open (unconfirmed) secret that CHIKARA's shut down a few years ago came from Quack's cheating and from his ex owning the CHIKARA name. THen you have stories about how he treated some long time CHIKARA wrestlers because he wanted to sleep with their girlfriends. But there was also cracks with abuse. A couple of QUack's most famous students were well known for hurting a few wrestlers... badly (see Akuma vs both Cloudy, and Ty Hagen/Veritas). There's also the story for why Zandig refused to work with Quack anymore and pulled support of the WrestleFactory where Quack supposedly made a member of the beginner's class do an advanced drill he had no business doing which resulted in a career ending injury before it began. Plus there are all the people who left and HATE Quack with a passion to the point they refuse to even acknowledge their time with the company.

I mentioned it in my post, but yes there's a huge rumor of that. An open secret in the indies is that Quack loves the ladies.

Yeah, there's also the apparent emails he would send en masse to the roster degrading performances and basically being mentally abusive if anyone ever screwed up even a spot in their matches And the info that the CHIKARA forum have a bunch of bot accounts run by Quack that say a bunch of different shit about wrestlers under the guise of being a random fan, a lot of degrading stuff about Tim Donst in particular I remember being under those accounts, and others like Hieracon and Crossbones. It was done by tracing the IP and finding out Quack ran several accounts there, including several admins who were presumably other wrestlers but were all from one IP in Quack. This just runs super deep and goes back to Quack being a control freak but the above tweets are WAY worse than that... but it's a pattern

Also Joey Janela may have stepped out of line for once. He attacked Wiggy for not going after CZW. Wiggy stated that she understands others have had issues with DJ and CZW and encourages them to come out, but she wasn't going to attack the company because she didn't have any negative experiences and has been treated well.
Again I'm a CZW fan and DJ has treated me well in some instances, but I'm not gonna call him a saint, but... not a good look for Joey there
