If they have to shut down temp and furlough everyone would TNT have them back quickly when they could run shows again? Assuming a short stoppage.

I mean, Shad & Tony Khan’s collective resources are pretty deep...

Did the Kahn family lose all their money in a Dice game or something?

Did the Kahn family lose all their money in a Dice game or something? No they didnt but running this in the red wouldn't benefit their businesses at all and would be a nuisance to answer to shareholders

The Khans should just bite the bullet on it and resume when it's safer.
Or at the very least stop putting people in the crowd and get out of Florida. Sure, they're doing the tests but beyond that they're basically taking no actual precautions whatsoever against it spreading and the tests aren't foolproof.

One thinks Tony would be more willing to do that than Shad. But at the same time, I'd assume they really don't want to risk violating their TV contract and then having AT&T (Warner Media) sue them for breach.

I don't see why they can't do a bulk taping again here, like just do even a month or so's worth of taping and let everything calm down
AEW has so much in the pipeline right now that I dont see how TNA would shut them down. They know how important AEW has been for them in so many aspects, they like AEW and have a good relationship with them, if the decision had to be made for them to shut down temporarily if they for some reason couldn't tape a block of shows, then I don't see TNT just cutting them, makes no sense to me.
I just hope this is worst case scenario and not actually what happens.

Flex-N-Gate is not publicly traded that I'm aware of, nor is the Jaguars or Fulham. The only question would be if the Khans are willing to lose some money in the short term, and the answer may well be no. Shad's money is all his own. I do kind of feel like this is Alvarez being alarmist to try and do damage control for AEW since they're starting to get flack for running live shows during the pandemic, though. I have a hard time believing AEW would be done for good if it ends up having to go on hiatus.

Bryan must be a hater. If AEW is forced to stop running shows because of safety, that not going out of business. AEW as a stand along business is ran by billionare's and all the talent have written deals. TNT isn't that cold blooded, and the Khans are worth more than the WWE. Yes they could hand a short term lost IF they had too. As would any other company, but if there was money issues, They wouldn't be signing new talent. They would had released someone.

I think it’s the opposite. He’s saying this so that, when AEW continues running shows, there’s a documented reason for it. He’s trying to protect the company from criticism.

Honestly, even if AEW couldn't possibly survive taking a break and would for sure go out of business if they tried, I'd still shut the shows down. Everyone traveling for these isn't just putting themselves and their families / friends at risk but also anybody they run into along the course of traveling.

They really need to do a bunch of block tapings at the start of each month, and then give everyone time to self-isolate for the rest of the month. It's almost a no brainer.

I know they're trying to sell off their video game division, so I'm wondering if that's indicative of Warner having reason to cut costs elsewhere...

Did the Kahn family lose all their money in a Dice game or something? Naw but alot of people took The Kahns billionare status as being liquid billionares meaning they have billions stashed away in banks somewhere which is not the case but instead like actual billionares their billions are in multiple companies....Fulham and Jaguars etc So if they have to cut anything it will likely be the the one thing that causes the least damage on them this being AEW.

I'd imagine they're probably looking at losing a ton of money on HBO Max.

People are not gonna agree with me but as long as AEW continues to take precautions they should be okay. If anything I would probably suggest them looking into relocating and doing block tapings again due to spikes but as long as they don't do anything like hide that someine tested positive and let shows continue? They should be okay

Of course it's important to note this is just a WHAT IF scenario by Alvarez. This company found a way to do shows with 30 percent of a roster, for a month. So I imagine if they could do that, they can figure stuff out at Fyter with a lot more of the roster back.
