Edge transitioning into the Rated-R Superstar. Obviously the gimmick itself improved his standing, but he looked a lot better without the goatee and stringy hair.

Your mileage may vary on this one, but some would say Kurt Angle looked more like a main event star once he got his head shaved (and ditched the comedy wig and headgear...which was around the time he became the first to make Hulk Hogan submit in WWF/E post first world title).

I think CM Punk looked much more like a main eventer with short hair.
ALso, as much as I usually don't give a shit about size, Ambrose looked much better after he bulked up. I dpn't know why he insisted on getting his shirt torn off in every match back in like 2015-2016 because he just looked like a pale scrawny guy.
