WWE has a real issue with its talents all changing gear or a monthly basis or more. They always have special gear for PPVs and for Manias and then for Raw and then also House Show gear and my God how are we supposed to have anyone have any kind of iconic look?

They always have special gear for PPVs and for Manias and then for Raw and then also House Show gear and my God how are we supposed to have anyone have any kind of iconic look? It's still the same basic outfit, just a different color scheme or theme. |

It's still the same basic outfit, just a different color scheme or theme. and usually people space out their gear to be one thing for like months at a time debuting at a ppv and hanging around for a while after... it's also not a new thing... I'm not sure I saw the Macho Man wear the same thing twice. |

If I recall from Daniel Bryan's book, he intentionally wanted to look as bland as possible when he first debuted through the NXT show, from his ring attire and from being clean shaven. I think he said it was to show he could get over strictly with his wrestling, though maybe I'm misremembering. Anyway, he fully intended to upgrade to using cooler wrestling trunks, kickpads, etc., and to grow out his facial hair over time. He knew he looked better this way.
But, yes, he looked a lot better when he started to let his beard grow out and stopped wearing the solid-color trunks.

I think CM Punk looked much more like a main eventer with short hair. ALso, as much as I usually don't give a shit about size, Ambrose looked much better after he bulked up. I dpn't know why he insisted on getting his shirt torn off in every match back in like 2015-2016 because he just looked like a pale scrawny guy. Ambrose looked like such a weak skinny nerd in 2016 and they had him going up against the scariest huge dude in the company, Brock, at the time. I just couldn't buy Ambrose being a threat. He looked so much better when he bulked up. |
