Well, no-one can accuse Liverpool of being boring lol. 4-3 against newly promoted Leeds United with Mo getting a hat-trick. My mate Len's team, Tranmere Rovers, began life back in League Two with a goalless draw at Mansfield.
Though it's a pity Mane didn't score at least since I had a bet on for us to win 2-0 with him getting one at anytime lol.

the 'pool starting off as they finished i see at least they HAD a goalie, poor ST MIRREN had three of them off due to covid19! had to loan one off hearts still lost 3 bloody nil! welshball started back too and with a bang ... as champs CONNAH'S QUAY NOMADS had to rely on a blooter of a longshot right at the end of injury time to literally thieve a point over BALA TOWN

Really looking forward to Match of the Day tonight. Every year their opening titles have ended with the current Champions lifting the trophy. So I’ve been waiting a long time for this!

Yeah, it'll be great to finally see MotD opening credits end with us lifting the trophy. Though I'll have to wait for MotD2 to see it since my family and I are having a family night tonight.

Great game between Liverpool & Leeds. Good to have Leeds back in the big time.
Great start for Arsenal but it’s only Fulham so won’t get carried away.

Nearly got my fourfold up if Southampton had equalised! Far too early to tell just yet, but I now fear West Ham might be in for a long depressing season ahead

Please don't let this be a year of Saints playing well and still losing.
Again.

Spurs looked rubbish today. Hopefully more of that to come.
James Rodriguez had a pretty good debut for Everton and they looked a much better side today.

If I told anyone here this time last year that by the end of 2019, Everton were going to have Carlo Ancelotti as their manager and then by the end of Summer 2020, he was going to be the catalyst to bring James Rodriguez to Goodison Park, I’d have been laughed out of the thread.
You’d also wonder after all that why I didn’t say anything about COVID, but still...

Well, that sure was an ending to PSG-Marseille. Five red cards from the same situation during injury time.

Poor Lallana. Goes off injured before half-time in his competitive debut for Brighton.

I am so torn right now. I want Werner to score since I put a pound on him to score at anytime but I also had 50p on Chelsea to win 3-1 which they're currently doing and I'd win more if it stays that way...So torn lol.

And...Chelsea won 3-1 which is better for me as I'll be getting 6 pounds tomorrow instead of 1.5 lol.

Speaking of strikers in North London, we seem to be pretty much one Zizou shove out of the door from Gareth Bale going back to Tottenham.

oh fffffffffffff....fffffffff....ffffffffiddlesticks...
Southampton manager Ralph Hasenhuttl:
"We have to be very, very clear that at the moment, with the team we have, it will be very difficult to win games.
"We were not quick enough at any part, not physically and not mentally.
"This is definitely something that we should work on. We played too slow and we did not do enough with the ball.
"Some of our players are not as strong as we have seen them in the past. We have a few big problems but we know that it is a tough season and a long season and we have to get back to working well.
"There is definitely a lot of work to do."
We are not bloody skint, stop getting rid of midfielders, and buy some players...
