AEW Games Thread (AEW:FF on Playstation Plus in June)

They've been doing a lot of crowd reaction recordings on a ton of the shows lately, they really want a ton of different and diverse crowd reactions for it

I'd love to see NJPW and ROH folks in as DLC, though I imagine there's some licensing hurdles for some of the New Japan guys.

Worst comes to worst, I expect them to have their "parts" in a CAW mode so I can make my own Minoru Suzuki and Jonathan Gresham if I really want to.

The biggest problem for NJPW would be music. You could go the Fire Pro route of giving some of the guys generic themes, but other than that I don't know what the issue would be.

I'm one of the few who actually enjoyed the TNA IMPACT game. But the roster was way too small.

An idea of when the roster cutoff date is would be helpful.

I doubt Toni Storm, Keith Lee, and Strickland make it into the game as late they arrived unless they're DLC, but do want to see a good mix of main-eventers, lower-carders, women on TV, and the ones who are normally on the web shows (Abadon, Emi Sakura, Diamante, etc.) for variety.

The season mode should have plenty of branching paths for replay value.

Loved the old Smackdown games because of how random the story mode could be. Really helped with replay. Hope there is a type of universe mode from the wwe 2k games. I love creating the cards and going from week to week arranging feuds.

I’d much rather a small roster and perfect the gameplay. If you get the gameplay right, then load up the roster as much as you can for Fight Forever 2 (god that would be a weird name, but I like it)

Yeah, this is purely me speculating, but I kinda figure they’re planning on 2 year cycles. Release 2022, DLC support 2023, Sequel 2024 etc

Considering some of the stuff recorded, the oldest cutoff date will likely be for Cole, Soho, and Danielson. Biggest question mark for me is if Cody will be in the game or not. Not like there isn't plenty of precedent for it already, like WWE2k22 having Keith Lee and Swerve Strickland.

they did record "we want hardy" alluding to jeff, but they could just be recording it for matt and will be applying those chants to jeff when they drop him into the game in the future.

Per Frightful:

-Omega's time off came at the right time as he has been able to put a huge amount of work into the game down the stretch here. Rukus is another name who has done a ton of work as well.

-Current roster sits at around 50, with some "unfortunately notable omissions," though people like Owen Hart, CM Punk, Danielson, Adam Cole and Ruby Soho are expected to be in the game.

-DLC is being discussed, though unconfirmed so far.

-Game is in the polishing stage, especially character models and such

-THQ Nordic is involved but apparently that has been a minimal involvement.
