The mixed reaction they're getting to this after all the time and money sunk into it is ominous as all hell. Discovery’s going to cancel it and bury all the copies in the ET landfill two weeks before it’s released at this rate. |

Kinda dig the mini games. Adds something fun to it. Do wish they had more concrete modes like the ability to make an on going show but the mini game stuff does create something I can play with my girlfriend's kid or with some buds.

yeah I really like the minigames. There was no need for them in Pokemon Stadium but to this day, people still remember the minigames and sometimes more so than the actual game itself. The gameplay doesn't look bad. It looks like Day of Reckoning with Fortnite Graphics.

I remember Smackdown Vs. Raw having mini games a thousand years ago...
they were mostly not good... and were dropped pretty quickly.

I’m sorry to have an opinion on how something looks in official advertising, sir. My bad. Weren’t there already stories about the development of the game being a mess? Also please tell me I am just looking at the wrong reports and it isn't true that there is an exploding barbwire match but no cage? Seems like that’s the case? I think, from the graphic that got put out with match types and features. I’m honestly kinda shocked Danielson isn’t on the cover at all. Adam Cole is in the game so Danielson should’ve made the cut-off. |

Hey I am just frustrated because I had extremely high hopes for this with the team around and inspirations it was pulling from and if this is the Xbox trailer as being leaked it does not bode well. To have mini games over pro wrestling modes that have been present for decades is insulting. You can call it blown out of proportion if you want but it's still a ridiculous sell at full price especially if it is as barebones as it appears. |

Like I think the graphics for the main mode look fine. But the animations on it all are so stiff and jank, it doesn’t look like anywhere near a completed product and we’re not too far off from release if they’re filming commercials and taking pre-orders. It this was like 40 bucks? f***ing A, sure. But full price when they’ve shown 5 moves and then random Fuzion Frenzy mini games? Come on. They keep talking about story mode, career mode. All these match types. Let’s see anything of that? Please? Why are we seeing Adam Cole hitting a Nyla Rose baseball before we’ve seen anything on career mode? |

I'll wait more gameplay but i'll definately pick it up at some point. Not going to lie some of that gameplay looked pretty stiff. The trashcan on the head looked awkward. The roster itself is shaping up nicely. Cool to see Yuka, Abadon and Thunder Rosa. I've always been a fan of arcade over simulation so even if it plays like WWE SvR 11 through 2k14 i'd be happy as i liked that system.
I'll probably get it for the Switch as long as it isn't completely broken like WWE 2K18. Not really too bothered if graphically it's the weakest as long as the gameplay runs smooth.
Sounds like they've put a lot of time and money into this but i'm very interested in seeing how this sells especially since they're selling it full price.

I’ve seen all of a minute and a half of gameplay. Hard for me to get emotionally invested over seeing so little
Ain’t no one putting a gun to my head to preorder, so I can wait until the 15th to see what they reveal before having an opinion

I looked at the AEW casino again, still extremely lame.
It’s just generic casino app #74, there’s almost no AEW theming outside of the occasional picture of a young buck next to an ad for chips.
Would it have killed them to make some themed slots or something?
Let you select a wrestler as your avatar?
Put someone’s face on the back of the cards?

If they have a system roughly on par with the AKI games, that'd be ideal for me. I love creating characters but don't have the free time I did when I was younger. All the modern games have such ridiculously deep customization, I feel like I can't give it the proper attention.
Give me basic parts/gear selection, moveset customization, a handful of entrance options and a single page of logic choices, and I'll buy this game twice even if it ends up a bit janky.

I don't think I'm going to spend $60 on it, but then I don't ever buy full priced games anymore. Still don't know anything about how it actually plays, so the jury's still out for me. Awkward animations (that sorta stuff still gets worked on until and past the day of release mind you) and mini-games that could be fun or stupid aren't dealbreakers, though. If the gameplay's fun and there's no WWE 2k20 stuff in terms of weird bugs, I'm fine.
I hope a demo comes out when the game nears release even though those seem to be a rarity in today's market, sadly. Otherwise I'll listen to word of mouth from people whose tastes in video games I trust and if I like what I hear, I'll pick it up on sale.

Graphics look pretty horrendous for a current gen game, I think even Here Comes The Pain had the trash can cover the body. If reviews come out and say it's great to play though I'll give it a go.
A bit worried priorities might have been mis-placed if there's silly mini-games while the gameplay looks so stunted.

Also please tell me I am just looking at the wrong reports and it isn't true that there is an exploding barbwire match but no cage? so one thing to keep in mind is that this is a live service game. so while cage match may not be in at launch, this isn't going to be a yearly title. it could be something they couldn't get for the launch build of the game(potentially due to disagreements over whether or not to feature all four walls of the cage or three walls ala WrestleMania/No Mercy), it can be added down the road and probably will. This was one of the first things that was mentioned about the game. Kenny said it was paramount that there was some create a character aspect to the game. It was one of the early AEW 2.Show's. He said he planned on making Austin Creed, but we shouldn't expect to see super duper in depth like the 2K series.
